    Coreupt Slasher, where to mount?

I was wondering if anyone had some tips on where to mount the bindings on the Slasher 187?

I was thinking of either going with the Marker Griffon or the Marker Griffon Schizo.

    Anyone?

Not sure wether to go with the Schizo or the regular. I will use the ski mostly for lines but can also throw in some moves in the backcountry.

I have not seen much information on these skis. You may be leading the way on this one. Please post a review once you get out on them.

Don't go Schizo, they are total p.o.s. that break.

I have skied them on the line, one of the guys in the shop skied them in SA this summber and realy liked them not to smeary but carved and charged well.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Haven't had a close look at these skis (quick handfuck in store only ), but bring out a tape measure and measure the setback on these. I have the predecessor Permin pro ski (09/10 pre "Born to Drop") and the mounting line is about 7.5cm behind core center which is more of a traditional setback, and it looks as if it has a lot of ski in front of the binding.

However, the shovel rocker is massive on these and I have measured the running surface in front of and rear of the mounting point, and the mounting point is as good as dead center on this, which means switch is OK.

Measure the running surface and see how it relates to the line.

PS..FWIW Permins are great on the line, wouldn't mount forward of the line, that would mean more running surface behind boot center than in front of center on harder surfaces.

    Well, all or nothing!

Order has been made for a pair of Slasher 187 with Griffons.

Did U Kimmi allready receive yoor skis? How were the bindings mounted, to the mark? If so, have U tested those allready?

I just got my skis and I'm wondering how to mount Dynafit FT Z12. Somehow I end up -2,5 cm from the mark. Comments?

Edit... That's how I did it. Tested also and feels good!

On the line is the place to mount them. It's the perfect mixture of carvy and smeary

I skied a demo pair and had them set up ~25mm back of the line. I liked them there. I might even push them back to 30mm.

just in case anyone does not know, conrad has sold last week hundreds (literally) of coreups at 99 euro. Having demoed a couple of them last winter, I decided they do not worth that price.

Why should I pay 99 euro for skis that I would not like to use?
