I've got a couple Bridger tickets left for me and my son, probably just going to go corn hunting/harvesting at this point, which is fine. Show up late, ski in the sun, go home before it cools off.

I bailed on skiing BB today with a friend. I figured it was gonna be pretty rustic and had work to do. His report: "The worst conditions I have ever skied. Dust on ice balls and bad fog. I brailled my way down from the top of Bridger chair and went home."

    Yikes.

Major props to Talisman for stepping up and showing my friend around the Dark Side and visiting some smoke shacks where they did not smoke. She had a blast. Also kudos to Pete (BSSP) for providing some input as to the better conditions prior to Talisman stepping up. You both rock!

Bunion&#39;s friend rips and was game for skiing rock hard bumps with a skiff of fresh and what ever came her way. Unfortunately I am sworn to secrecy but she knows a lot of Bunion lore from MT and UT. We didn&#39;t see Maine&#39;s best athelete though.

A whole inch of fresh snow fell at Big Sky this morning on top of a firm base. Some northerly aspects in the trees are better, but a little more snow would change the game. These condiitons last January would have been epic but I am a spoiled little prince this season.

High north facing stuff is really good right now. NSS or Headwaters will be ripping. Lower mountain on the Moonlight side wasn't too bad today.

Patrol said fill your boots with gravel and ski bowl laps and that would be better than S Face right now.

I waited for a bit in tram line in the hopes of getting on NSS. Never happened and I could not get motivated to head to Moonlight side. So I drove around and took pics.

I was there today. Found a few decent shady shots. Rice Bowl, Lone Tree face, Exit Chute in the bowl and the powder field above the cat track. Cold Springs was okay. Bone Crusher was open and actually looked decent. Hunt and peck to find anything other than dust on crust. If you can make first chair on Ram the groomers should be good for about an hour.

And they never did open the tram for skiing today. Patrol said they didn't even want to ski their routes, it was that bad.

An ice skating rink tipped to a 40 degree angle. Sunny and beautiful looking today but last nights storm fizzled. 0 on the sumit, going to take a good bit of solar gain to corn up.
    Could be good by tomorrrow.

No high hopes for today. Just gonna rip some groomers. Tomorrow will hopefully warm up enough to be soft like last weekend.</p>

I was going to go to Bridger today but up all night on call. Tomorrow looks better anyway. Hopefully corn skiing and greasy food on the deck in sunshine.

Would one expect crowds to be abated tomorrow given probable declining interest?

BB was super nice this morning, soft with some new fluff and good leftovers from yesterday. Spring skiing on hold for now.

Still dealing with pinched nerve. Physical therapist said to chill on skiing as compression triggers the pain. So to a skier that just means be more selective on days I go : )

Walking or hiking is fine so today we got out and explored a new to us trail. South facing so harsh light for pics. But cool area and might go back when things green up a bit.
