How far do you live from skiing?

Either lift served or backcountry and please specify which one?

Me: 1.5 hours to good lift served terrain. 1 hour to crappy lift served terrain.
Backcountry is about 30-40 minutes but this doesn't include the approach.

12 minute walk, 5 min bus ride, 4 min bike ride to the lift. Add a 15 minute lift ride and, BOOM, backcountry.

Front door to top of mountain lift in about 30 minutes either to east or west. Backcountry access all pretty close, just going to be getting into it this year so nothing exact yet.

This, though I'm moving here shortly and that'll be bumped down to 10-15.

Used to be about 25 yards to the lift. Now it's a good 2 hours.

Shit. Something's wrong with this picture...

About 12 miles to the lifts, which is about 15-25 minutes depending on road conditions. Add another 2-3 miles for decent backcountry access.

56km from one hill, 68km from the other.

    This should be in ski/snowboard

Well according to google maps 2,877 mi, 14 days 8 hours. At first I was like, "I really need a faster boat", then when I looked at step 10 in the driving directions I saw this.

    6. Continue onto HI-63 S/HI-83 N 0.4 mi
    7. Turn right onto HI-83 W 28.4 mi
    8. Turn right onto Kuilima Dr 0.5 mi
    9. Turn right 0.1 mi
    10. Kayak across the Pacific Ocean
    Entering Washington

    That's some fast paddling.

Five feet to lift-serviced skiing, if I climb over a railing, otherwise 40 feet. Five-minute walk to backcountry.

so you're closer to the lift than to your hot tub.

    Too damn far !

Today, on main street in Breckenridge there was a gathering of at least 20 Santas and I coudlnt be there for it !

Skiing, then hanging out with the Santas ??? All that's missing from making that a perfect day is a good dog by your side.
TGR forums cannot handle SkiCougar !

Not actually the lift, but right on a ski run, so just walk out door, put on skis, and go.

Yes, hot tub is a much longer walk.

Ski in/Ski out. Lifts to the left, Backcountry to the right. There are times that the best turns of the day are in the backyard.
