Spy Dialer can work provided the person leaves his/her name on the answering message.

Spy Dialer actually calls the number (I just tried it on my phone) But if you use SlyDial or one of the other apps that dials directly into their voicemail, the phone won't even ring and it will give you the same result.

Spy Dialer came up on my phone as

    (775)332-1035 (Reno, NV)

    From the Spy Dialer website...

The free version frequently leaves a "missed call" number that when called, plays a message telling the person they've been spy dialed. The pay version is super stealthy and the missed call number is a dead-end phone number leaving the party called no idea who the caller was. The pay version also has no daily limit, no ads, a 30 day archive of prior spy dials and priority handling in the event that our servers are overloaded with traffic.

Some psycho bitch got my cell from my work and called me with different google voice numbers for 4 months. Never saying a thing just calling at all hours, listening for a minute, then hanging up. Then stupid texts all from different numbers. Calling back i got no response and a blank voice mail.

I am the emergency contact for hundreds of locations and people, so I can't turn off my phone.

Technology can really suck. Phones shouldn't lack accountability.

    Spokeo doesn't work that well.

Spydialer works if they put in a real message only.

There's a thing you can bypass the ring and leave a message on voice mail but I don't recall what it's name was, it's also used by pussies.
