Does this pull from any Euro sources?

    This is a brilliant tool.

Wow! I was playing with this at home, and it looks great. Can't wait to try it in the field.

Nice work, gentlemen. I hope you get rich off this.

Yes, it provides forecasts from all known regions in North America, Europe and New Zealand. We've been getting a lot of observations from Norway recently.

A quick bump to let everybody know we just released V2.0 for Android. This update allows users to record video of general conditions and stability tests, photos of pit profiles, and several opportunities to record freeform notes. We also added the Prop Saw test, OGRS shear scale and the ability to record pits from the bottom-up or from the top-down.

Avalanche safety professionals should PM me for a free copy.

Thanks a bunch to those of you have put down your hard-earned cash to purchase a copy. If you haven't already, we'd appreciate your taking a minute to write a glowing review on the Apple iTunes store itms://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ullrs...7503?ls=1&mt=8

This was my question as well. Is it possible to have a default "airplane mode" that turns the phone off (or switches to airplane mode) after you stop entering data?

^^^interesting idea. The big developer conundrum then becomes the delay before the app sends you into airplane mode. Too many scenarios to come up with a useful algorithm, so we opted to let the user decide when to "go offline".

FWIW, I've run probably 30+ beacon location drills with my iPhone on, playing tunes, location services on, and had people call me. Never have seen any sort of issue with beacon signal. YMMV

Me too. The one thing I'd like to see changed is that the coordinates and elevation change to the current location if you open the obs to edit them. It'd be nice if those stayed at the original obs point unless you specifically edited them.

Hmm I hadn't either. Thanks for the heads up MS. Will do some on-snow testing of that behaviour today. It's a tough job in the current conditions in Central OR but we are dedicated to our users.

Edit to add -Yup, there does seem to be an issue. The lat/long/el are supposed to remain static after the first save. I did four observations with my iPhone and four with my 'droid device today. One iPhone obs did shift location when I reopened it to change some data later. No problem with any of the others. We will look into a resolution.

Meadow Skipper, does this happen all the time to you or just randomly? With an iPhone or with an Android? Trying to figure out recurring patterns...

And to everyone else, please let me know if you come across unexpected behavior. You can trust that I will be out on the snow testing your issues promptly, and will work hard to resolve. We also like ideas for new features.
