    Care to expand a little on the mixing methods etc?

    Tried another tincture dosage today, 2 droppers into a cup of coffee was just about perfect.

    As a topical? For which ailments? Back pain?

    ya I use it as a topical. It deals with pain pretty well, it won’t make really deep nerve pain go away but it helps. I use a crockpot on low and melt the beeswax and coco oil together, when that’s melted, I take a gram of the THC oil and put it in the jar that I’m using and then add the hot melted oil to the jar and stir it to get the THC oil suspended in the hot oil. I put a lid on it then and give it a shake to really mix it up. I usually do 4oz jars.

    Is that the entire report? No mention of police doing anything after confirming the odor?

    If so, that’s hilarious.

    Yes, that’s the entire report…

    it was an open and closed case of people legally enjoying themselves.

    It does sort of beg the question…if it’s legal why even bother with an incident report?

    And if you want some good police reports, the Mad River Union, FKA the Arcata Eye, has some great ones.

    The author of those is going to bust out as an acclaimed cynically humorous novelist sometime in the near future.

    11:08 a.m. Where you or I might look at the car parked on Sunset Avenue and see a working person’s vehicle, some Slithy Tove saw a tire and wheel free for the taking.
    I lived down at the end of Sunset Ave. for a few years while attending HSU/CPH and my ‘65 Chevy half-ton had the driver side door bashed in, and got the gas siphoned out a number of times. Thanks for the nostalgia moment.

    My guess is the crime reporter listens to the police scanner and has a sense of humor

    Kevin Hoover is both the owner of the paper and the crime reporter.

    MS, I remember you telling me about some of your sketchy living situations in Arcata (& McKinleyville, aka Oklahoma-by-sea?). I once interrupted a Plazoid trying to liberate a bag of groceries out of my car while I was sitting on a bench 10’ away.

    My favorite Arcata saga is the yak herders. They didn’t show up until after we left, but friends have kept us up to date.

    Anyone here messed around with THCA flower that you can apparently buy online these days? My fb feed is bombarding me with ads for a couple different companies. The algorithm apparently has me pretty well figured out I guess. I live in an illegal rec state (NH) but am only about 45min to an hour drive to legal dispensaries, so that's what I've been doing since getting back into weed a couple years ago, but being a lazy sob and having it delivered to my door is appealing. Only thing that has me sketched out is the unknowns of origin and controls on the production process.

    thca flower is just normal flower with low enough levels of d9 to satisfy regs, basically all flower if harvested early and cured in specific way will fall into that category
    potentially it may not have had as much testing done as it falls into hemp and not cannabis, but most reputable companies test it just the same
    i wouldnt seek it out, as its usually on the dry and less flavorful side, but its perfectly comparable in effect
    only word of caution is i wouldnt assume local law enforcements view on thca flower matches that of federal law, bickering hemp semantics with a cop isnt going to get you very far so best to just avoid

    current indoor is 4 from seed of a cross of pitbull and dr pepper im calling barx, has a grape bubble gum smell and slightly pink tones through flower, ran it outdoor and wasnt blown away but chopped it later than it liked, we will see how indoor goes and if can find a better pheno to stabilize or just move on

    need to get some other genetics going, killed all my other strains, they were clones of clones of clones and were getting weird growth traits, i got a bunch of beans to pop of random backgrounds but kinda want something i know history of, would like to track down the old white widow i had a cut of few years back, that was a great strain

    tbs what are you working with now?
    werent you doing a 10-12week strain for awhile? anymore ppd?

    other topic...
    anyone try "fast acting" edibles?
    a buddy had some out in CO, i havent found them here in OR, but the tech sounds cool, they bond the thc to sugar instead of fat so it metabolizes waaaaayyyy faster, for those of us with weird digestion of thc it sounds really promising but i havent been able to try and the tech is beyond home grade kitchen skill level diy

    Anyone have a good/creative use for all of those airtight tubes that cartridges and prerolls come in? I don't throw them out because they seem so useful, but I don't know what use.

    @forty - I did a Durban crop this summer/fall - 13week flower cycle. Got a really late start, and yield wasn’t my best.

    I have two purple panty dropper seeds I may plant early this spring. Still have a fair amount in inventory. I don’t seem to use indica as much as sativa.

    Putting weed in them hadn't occurred to me!

    I use cartridges almost exclusively so...

    WEED, The Official Thread

    Fresh batch of cannaoil. I made this a little more concentrated as I want to color code my gummies based on their strength.

    Ground 2 oz of home grown in an old Mr Coffee electric grinder.

    Then decarbed in a 250f oven for 20 minutes.

    Warmed a jar of coconut oil until it was liquid and poured over the top and mixed.

    Put the foil back on top and put into a 200f oven for 2 hours. I then strained through cheese cloth over a sieve and back into the jar. It’s much darker than the last batch.

    I mixed some of the last batch with this one until I reached and estimated at 100mg/tsp so making 5mg - 15mg gummies will be simple to calculate.

    Green = 5mg
    Orange = 10mg
    Red = 15mg
