Boot Sole Length - Alpine vs. AT

I just got my Freerides in the mail today. I ordered a short because my boot sole length on my Alpine boots are 295 mm. The shorts go from 245 to 300. Black Diamond informed me that, "....when it comes to boot to binding sizing...you always want to stay on the shorter side of the scale." so I got the shorts.

I am just concered that when I get AT boots the sole length on a different pair of boots might be over 300? Could this happen? Isn't the boot sole length for a different pair of boots going to be similar? My mondopoint size is 25.5. What are boot sole lengths for 25.5 on Scarpa or Garmont AT boots?

Anyone had problems with this? Do I need to worry? Thanks.

I don't remember the figures but I know my Gamont randonee boots are quite a bit longer than my salomon alpines but both fit in a medium freeride. As long as you're not closer than 10mm or so to the limit of yours you should be o.k.

all my boots are about the same,
    X wave 295
    course pro 293
    Garmont AT 297

if you fit the boots the same as your alpine they should have about the same sole lenght

i think any size 25 at boot will fit in the small fritchis. i put about 4 different size 26 boots in my small fritchis over the years no problem. and in my experience, every 26 at boot ive ever seen has been a bit shorter than my size 26 langes, which still fit in small fritchis with a 305mm sole.

probably not. my 27.5 adrenalines are 308 and my 27.5 pro models are 314. they should all be about the same. when you are shopping around, just look on the boot to make sure that they are less than 300.

I have a 26.5 Lowa Structura and a 26.5 Technica Carbon and both fit in Freerides with no binding adjustments. No problems switching from resort to BC. I have Mediums
