Im looking for advice from some mags who have had a Tibial IM rod. This past July I fractured my tibia biking and got it casted for around 10 days. After that the bones shifted and I had it rodded to ensure stability/ditch the long-leg cast. Now several months later I am experiancing pain above the medial top screw. I suspect it is my hamstring insertion to the medial side of the tibia being aggravated by the screw during movement. Has anyone else had this problem? It has gotten slightly better over the past few months but still really bothers me in leu of the other more typical issues after a IM rod surgery. How long did it take you to return to full activity? Did you feel it was the correct fix? Any long-term issues?

Ive maintained a positive outlook on the matter for the past few months but am really fighting the injury depression. I also am beginning to realize I might be trying to return to the activities I love a bit too soon. It is easy to say no to activity when on crutches but a whole different story to limit activity once you are walking around.
