Stoked I spent a month down there. It'll be a bit b fore I get back. What a sweet vibe on the hill!
No shit show. Little gathering at chair 1 for the opening bell. Lots of avi work. Ridge opened at 10 for hiking. Bamby Chutes, Sr Arnold, etc opened at 11ish.
Instructors, locals, folks from shops where all stoked with “best day evers” and “Taos doesn’t get better than thats”
It skied like they got two ft overnight

Your forecast is looking really good for this upcoming week also. Possibly 3'. Damn!
Possibly there Saturday, Sunday--looks like the bus is running this year and still running this weekend. I'm referring to 341 TSV Green Route that looks to have a couple of trips inbound each morning and a couple out each afternoon.
Hoping to get by without a car.
Can anyone confirm?
Planning on a hotel/B&B in town to permit the no-car trip. Any recommendations?
No help to offer with regards to bus transport. However, I was there a week ago and on the advice of a friend called Abode rentals: https://www.abodevacation.com/vacati....asp?cat=15347
I was able to book a studio across the street from the lift for marginally more than what I would have paid in town. Worth a shot.

Taos is pretty incredible with fresh blower. Enjoy folks!
Supposed to head down there later today and the whole mountain looks like it’s on wind hold with more in the forecast. Hmm.
Lift 1 started to run at 10. Rest of them started at 11. It was a cluster at the base until the crowds dispersed. Lift 2 lines thinned down around 12:30.
Snow was good tho. 4”-6” of groupel that got mashed up into soft goodness.

Sigh. I'm always a little late to the party, but I can say that I regularly see the Blue bus that runs from the Town of Taos to the Ski Valley running.
I don't know this years schedule or the route specifics, but you can learn this info at RideTheBlueBus.com.
cheers,

skied taos for my first time yesterday and today and got to say that is a cool ass mountain. the skiing was great out there!
Taos closed until further notice? Shitty day for their water operators.
