I also get grumpy when ski patrol is taking forever to open the goods on Kachina. You know what I don't do? Start arguing that strangers dying is an acceptable price to pay so I can access Kachina faster. Jesus christ dude.....

yeah i thought it'd be a great idea to ski the east for a couple of months. 4 inches of rain yesterday, no snow in sight, damp, dreary, wtf.

taos. el nino year, base elevation 3 thousand feet higher than the highest point in the ne

    the call of the zia.

byates is just like me. You know how I know? Because I knew he'd be back quick. I'd do the same.

Get back east for a couple weeks of rain and its:

Anyway, so I got one of those :::ducks::: Ikon Base passes with my Big Sky pass. Looks like Taos don't take too kindly to us plebes with the Base pass anymore. Can I still get some sort of benefit down there so I can ski Taos with byates since it's not gonna snow here until March?

It makes perfect sense. You were just there on the Phat year.

Averaging 165" a season is depressing. I couldn't do it. The area is cool but, no.
Just curious, where is that data from?

The ridge hike is open before this incoming snowfall. Hard to believe. I've got Indy as well till my big sky pass turns on april.1st. so I'll ski Taos Jan Feb March w some Indy thrown in . Wolf Creek pass is another 1300$ on top of 1200$ for Taos. If it snows even more than a little it'll be a good time. Taos vibe is the tits. I also seem to do well in Taos w the trim for some reason..

    That's gotta be *super* sketchy.

    'Cause they're reporting a 20" base.

Taos is *ROUGH* with a 20" base.

We are contemplating hitting it on the way back from ABQ after Xmas... but this storm had better pan out or we ain't gonna bother.

Just checked - just Juarez is open off the ridge. Yikes.

Probably just want to get skier compaction anywhere they can. I have a buddy heading down there tonight, I'm sure I'll get a report.

web site says juarez only. a few people hiking out looks like they are past juarez. still a lot of New Mexico plates in the wolf creek parking lot. Best chile relleno between Taos and Denver is in Alamosa.
