    Line Opus?? Feed me info!

So other than a couple two sentence mini reviews, a bunch of pointless "Where should I mount them" threads, and a couple mentions in the 11/12 Gear Rumor Mill thread there isnt too much info about these.

I havent ridden any of Pollards creations and the closest thing Ive skied (shape, design and purpose wise) were a pair of early prototype ON3P Caylors (which were a blast).

Can anyone in the know give me any more info about this ski? Seems to be of similar shape to other creations by Pollard. Several mentions about it being stiffer (bit more of a charger?). Anyone use/test them last season or over the summer in SA or NZ?

Anyone got a rocker photo on the Opuses? There are like 10 video reviews on Youtube, but NOONE is showing the rocker. Unbelievable.

    Yes, they are purrdy.
Yes, those sidebar ads are sick (though I rarely see them, stupid Jeep and WestJet ads).
Yes, there are videos on youtube, but they are all pretty lame (e.g. "they are fun", "5/5", "blah blah blah").

BC.com's review is a notch higher than the rest and although they dont show full length rocker they do have the tips in there. And they're the only ones to mention flex change!!
The dims, tech and all that jazz look good on paper (with the exception of that super tight turn radius). I just want MOAR!

Guess Ill just wait till they're in a local shop. If you have info, chime in! Please.

There were a few pairs in a shop here. Pretty light for their size, and the tail rocker was similar to the tip rocker, maybe a bit shorter. Fwiw, hand flexing they were stiffer than Obsetheds, but not much. I was too distracted by the topsheets to really examine them in detail.

I'm thinking the turn radius might not count for much on these, it's just too short to take seriously.

You guys have probably seen it already, but if you disregard the screaming, this vid is pretty nice:

nice runout at 2:40. Made me consider them a bit more seriously at least.

The topsheets are fucking sweet!!! reason alone to buy!

..have to say, I was a bit puzzled that it was not even mentioned in the 2012 skiers choice in POWDER # 40.1..I wonder if they even tried it. The Rocker 2 on the other hand was every mans favorite it seems

Doesn't mean shit maybe... time will tell.

this just seems like a totally different style than how i would picture EP skiing these lines. he's not much of a straight-liner. the guy in the video didn't seem to have any regard for his own well being. anyway i thought the video was awesome, and the skis look sweet.

I had the original EP pro 'fall line' skis way back in the day, when landing switch in powder was the leading edge of progression (pun intended)

Straightline thanks for the pics, and thanks everyone for pointing out our failure in showing the rocker (err, early rise, what we call it because we have camber in them too) profile! Yes they're stiffer and narrower (118mm vs the previous 127mm) than Pollard's previous model, the EP Pro. We (EP & engineer) spent a ton of time working with the taper/early rise placement to maximize edge hold, running surface and limit floppy tips with still having a ski that can float in pow. Hope that helps and thanks for checking the out!
