    Anyone going to outerbike?

I know, the Enchilada fest is the week before. Looks like I will be down there with a booth or something for my BicyclArt.

Just decided that I'm headed there w/ a couple of Bozeman dudes. Leaving MT Weds morning, be there through Sunday.

    Anyone else?

Heading to Moab Friday. Really hoping the weather holds out and TWE is doable.

If anyone is going to be in CB this weekend for Outerbike stop by the CBMBA tent and ask for change. I'll be there most of tomorrow and Sat noon to 6. We are located near the entrance. Old thread bump but didn't see any newer ones when I searched.

We are headed to CB to ride bikes, just found out about the event.
Not planning on attending, not really our thing, but do you think every trail in the valley will be crowded or just the ones on the hill? How many people are they expecting?

Kinda sick of every town in CO having some event every weekend that crowds the place up. [/rant]

The Outerbike demo rides are all on the mountain, I believe... so if anything, that might help empty out the other trails.

Also FYI, there's an enduro race in Crested Butte this weekend too.

The further out you go the less people you will see. Think they cap at 450 people. Limited ride times on demos unless VIP so people seem to be sticking closer to the mountain. Strand Teocalli 409 Crystal should be ok people wise but I also haven't seen the BME course list. I'd ride some of those trails before they get on them because they will be turfed after that many riders.

Thanks Smmokan. We are trying. Tons of work done this year. Come out for the overnight next weekend if you can and help us punch Baxters Gulch through to Carbon. 3 more miles to go.

Nah, change of plans to a new super secret location, deep in the high country with a million trails and no people.

I wish I could, but my parents are in town so I'll be hanging around Boulder. This year I'll helping by monetary means only, next year I hope to get down there for a day or two and lend a hand in person.

Didn't seem too crowded this weekend, except in town, which is always crowded on summer weekends. The weather permitted a late start after a lazy morning at camp, so the trails were mostly empty. 403-401-Lupine-Gunsight on Friday, and Doctor on Saturday after the enduro. It wasn't nearly as torn up as I expected. However, the only visit to Outerbike was to swing by the Pivot booth on the way to Lupine to have them look at the (seemingly) excessive play in my bud's new 429. They claim it's normal, FWIW, so he's less bothered by it now that he has the official word, right or wrong. Had I seen this thread before leaving Thursday PM, I'd have stopped by the CBMBA tent to say hey/thanks.

So how about the Moab version in October? Anyone going? Wife an I are hoping for redemption after a sad weekend last year (health-wise, no fault of Outerbike).

Necro-bump. Anyone going to the CB Outerbike in two weeks? I'm going with the wife. We have demo passes, but wondering if its worth bringing our own bikes too? We're both mostly focused on getting on different bikes, but want to ride as well so if there's potential to sit and wait around for demos, we may rather spin some laps on our bikes.
