My friend's oldest son (14yo) is never seen without his knit beanie, regardless of the weather. On a family camping trip this summer it was high 80s during the day and at night we had a roaring bonfire and are all sitting around it in shorts & T-shirts, drinking cold drinks and the kid is wearing that beanie.

I think it's the equivalent of the denim jacket I wore when I was his age.

    I am that cold person.

This summer was weird, so it wasn't as much of an issue, but it is usually in the 90-100s late june through early September here. I go to Seattle and its 75 and sunny and I am cold.

    Get over it.

i saw some people at one of my kids sports events today all bundled up and i thought of jmars. I completely went off. screaming at them "I DECIDE WHEN YOURE COLD ENOUGH TO WEAR A JACKET AND HAT! NOT YOU YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES!" most of them immediately realized i was right and stripped down to a tee shirt and shorts to be more like me. Fucking nerve of people trying to be comfortable. society is out of control.

I don't care what people wear...there are so many nice looking ladies around, why focus on the others? the only bad thing about manhattan are the idiots with umbrellas and hand held devices.

I don't know about the beanie and ski jacket, but all the hispanic orchard workers here, Wenatchee, wear hoodies in the summer. I think they might be onto something, like it keeps them cooler. Kinda like arabs and their dishdashas.

    Thanks for the therapy session.
No actually most of us would not feel the same way. That's the point. You live in a special world where those who don't dress like you or in some similar approved by jmars way are worthy of your anger and venting and make you require therapy.

My nephew is a complete asshat douchebag in the way he dresses. I just make fun of him and get him little tiny belts and shit ( he can't seem to find one to hold his pants up).

He doesn't make me angry. Without his inability to dress himself correctly family get togethers would be much less fun. For me anyway. Then I would have to make fun of someone else. Like some whiny douche bitch on the interwebz that I have not met. And what's the fun in that?

DC in the summer is hot and fucking humid. Can't count the amount of hipsters in skinny jeans, flannel shirts, and beanies that are out in a barely airconditioned bar on a sweltering 85deg night. Add in the stupid fucking beards and they are sweaty smelly messes that no amount of PBR can cool off.

The chix are kinda hot tho, so whatever.

I doubt it. They wear them in organic and responsible choice orchards too. Keeping the sun off your skin will go along way to keeping you cooler.

I fully expect to walk into the gym soon and see the dude (there are more than one. You may know what I mean) who is wearing what I would wear if I was stuck in a camper in the winter with low propane - full knit cap, heavy hoodie top, and full leg sweat bottoms of some sort. Inside. In a gym. Exercising and sweating. Well, not really exercising - usually making noises over in the free weight area.
I'm guessing that the cap is a way for balding to bald dudes to look cool.

The douches I see wearing TNF softshell jackets when it's 80 out are the same douches running around in a t-shirt in the middle of January.
