Sick. I can kick back and read my book, and listen/watch/be there, without being there...obvious, but nice.

It's like I'm there man....zhowwwww. The live feed is pretty cool. I have been checking it out throughout the week. Gotta give it up to the Nexus crew. I have been fortunate enough to work with them and be apart of their craziness the past few years. If you want to check out something pretty darn cool, go to:

Couldn't even imagine being there w/out drinking a peyote milkshake...
but then again, I couldn't imagine eating peyote buttons anytime in the future...
I'd rather puke from an over-abundance of single malt.

It looks like that until nightfall, I thought the same thing until it goes dark...then the real magic happens.

Maybe, but most of them are drunk.

I didn't realize until I read a lot about it last night that it really is a big drunk fest. They actually have a warning on their site for sober people that they will see and smell a lot of people drinking and doing drugs.

I get the whole concept of self expression and artistic expression, but I think for most people it really is just another excuse to get fucked up.

Its like a mini city. With no drug laws.

Some people live in a world of wonder, with or without drugs, other like to get wasted.

For me, it is a MODERN debauchery festival, no nature at all, no music, only fire, gunpowder and machine built art.

The undercover cops there don't think there are no drug laws.

Just got back. Holy shit. The man was hidden but thick. But the times were great. Simply put, shit is going off EVERYWHERE all at the same time. Watched the burn last night and bailed at sunrise to beat the unbelievable dust storm traffic makes. Jumped in the first lake we saw. Dusty? Understatement of the year. And it was relatively wind free this time. I've been there on a wind day from hell before and it's ugly.

    Cool.

The dust is really apparent on the live feed, I did not imagine it could be worse in person. I like/ed the Shasta Reggae festival better, or even reggae on the river, though both must have changed by now.

    Pokey didn't go.
I was photographing Lamb Chops, Captain Powder's lifelong sheep companion with a number of ladies, though.
There might be a boobie pic.
I spent a lot of time up there pre-burning man.
I got a last minute invite from the people whose Labor Day land sailing regatta on the playa was upstaged by/turned into bm.
They're the locals up there and get some killer hook ups.
But I was bummed when my friend who owns the local bar/restaurant said the online bm guide told people to bypass Gerlach, the local town at the south end of the playa.
There's some justified local ambivalence about bm up there, but locals do get a swingin deal on tickets and they threw me one.
We had an awesome camp. Saw Punani for a few minutes and missed some other mags cause I forgot where they were.

Temple burn is about to happen...
