I used to go to Larry's. When I was replacing my gear after the Marshall Fire they were booked out so I went to Boot Mechanics (Avon).

Just footbeds and boots for me. I've moved on from super aggressive shell fits and the boots they recommended (Smax 120) had excellent heel hold and didn't require shell work. Jeremy heard about my situation from one of his employees and proceeded to hook it up big time on pricing, and let me pick a pair of skis off the wall at no charge.

All that to say I didn't really test their fitting chops, but you won't find a friendlier group of people.

I would add Joe Hoffman at Christy Sports (formerly Alpenglow) at Bowles and Wadsworth. Wicked bootfitter, great guy, large inventory easily at hand.

I never met this guy (JH), but FWIW bootfitting at Christy's for me involved serial disappointment (fortunately I'd bought the boots there so it was free) - this was like 15 or more years ago. Quite painful fit issue was not solved after 4 separate attempts (having to leave them and pick them up a couple days later each time). Went to Larry's and dude (not Larry) fixed it in like 15 minutes, while I waited - instant awesomeness.

So it's been Larry's for me since then, with only positive experiences. Haven't been in since Larry sold it (bummer, as that guy was shit - always fun to talk to and we had a few mutual friends in the industry, so even better). Hopefully the shop is still awesome. Certainly hope they don't update the ragtag, hiLarryous, ski-bum/ski-museum vibe in there (they had every ski I ever lusted after in my childhood on display - and some I even did manage to procure).
