Tmike, I gave Bruce P. your digits, but not 666, 'cause he may be a devil.

I was thinking parking at top of Pass, and walk over to Leavitt. Maybe leave a car at bottom if GDS makes it. Deadman is the long skinny one lookers right when you get that first view of Leavitt on the ridge when hiking out there from top of pass.

here are some shots I took Wed from the PCT

and here's what I found on my side mirror when I got in the truck to leave

y'all are welcome to stay here in Twain Harte on the way to and from the pass - plenty of room here - my buddy and I plan to leave here early Sunday morning - hitch-hiking should be ok, but we'd be into a car shuttle

Yes indeed. I think there's still a couple/three/four/eight weeks left on the pass. I'm limited for the next 2 weeks, but I'll be looking for August turns if you want to engage in such foolishness....

Hi - looking to head up to SP Aug 13 with 2 bootpacking snowboarders (who prefer sweat and tears to paying for a splitboard). What are your all's thoughts to the feasibility? Snow doesn't have to be epic like june/july, just allow us to get some turns without rotted through suncups.

    Thanks!

    This was taken today.

Above Leavitt Lake will have snow next week, no problem.

Rippey154 - I'll be headed up to SP on Friday the 12th. Backpacking in to Kennedy Meadows. Hoping for a descent of the Unnamed peak at 10,400 between KM and Relief Reservoir. Saw plenty of snow up there two weeks ago. You're welcome to join this splitboarder.
