    if you are worried about a bit " walking " while trying to drill into a dowel or BBQ skewer or anywhere try drilling a pilot hole with your smallest drill bit

    And create a divot with a punch before you start drilling.

    Thanks for all the info....easy peasy. Drilled it out and not getting any spinners so think I'm good. The only epoxy I can find locally is JB Weld, which I've read is a no go...so waiting on Amazon to finish it up.
