Had the BEST of luck with the weather on Grand Envers today. Got up to the midi with the first cabin, was almost blown away from the ridge and traverse over to Grand Envers and then hit a gap in the clouds and hade sun all the way down in knee/waist deep, light snow. Best GE run I've ever had.

Is it still sun in the forecast for Italy tomorrow? If so, I'm going heli-skiing Might post some pics when we get back from that.

Hey SimB, I was on the first cabin as well, and skied grand envers. First time doing the Midi, did it with two guys olov and magnus.
We ended up skiing, riding with a group of others, so we were about 8 total. Where you in our group? I was the snowboarder in the black coat.

I rushed back an 1.5hr drive after that to get to the office.

I think you might have sat in the other end of the train back from montenvers, I was in a green salomon one-piece. So you were the basterds that tracked up the usual part of the second "run"... We had to keep WAY to the right to get fresh tracks when we got there.

Epic day. Face shots on Stairway, knee deep on Vallon D'arby, suckered into sun crust on Mt. Gele, but fun none the less.

    Aces!

I think the snow to the right was better anyways.

Were you in a group of 3 or more than 3?

There really was almost no one up there today huh? Pretty dang cool.

Now you are ready for the haute restauration!

Sounds like Jerome is whipping you into shape. Why not put that fitness to work on the Trappier Couloir?
