The first hype train of the season is now departing from Platform 5

First snowfall on the way with excessive precipitation amounts

Predicting a Vb weather pattern a week in advance is SO wepowder. [emoji3]

Things have moved to the east in the current Model runs and I wouldn't rule out further eastward motion in the upcoming Model runs, which would result in a nothing burger. Could also move back or strengthen or weaken....
Any serious forecast starts Tuesday evening or even Wednesday when the cold trough moves in.

But yeah....wepowder is on it from the start. [emoji6]

Model runs range from 47mm to 300mm in the Region. And no you CANNOT just take the average in such a pattern [emoji3]

Click on CHART in lower left of screen, then hit the arrow to see animation.

The storm is cycling over the Eastern Switzerland and Austrian Alps.

Stelvio certainly did. Good thing my buddies rode it a couple of days ago on their Euro cycling trip before the snow came!

Tomorrow would have been a good day. But my buddies aren't ready yet and I'm too old, too childrened, too jobbed and too tired to go on a 7 hour one way drive alone just to tour a few hundred meters of vert.

So guessing some of you have been to Schladming for the night races, and looking for some suggestions on tickets.

Thinking of going to both the GS and the slalom. Doing one of the races in the town square to get that environment, and one of the races with a ticket slopeside.

Any suggestions on which race to do which method, and what tickets to buy? I should mention that anything above the blue zone is totally out of my price range. Although I am up for the Hohenhaus after party! Love me some Euro pop dance parties!

this right here is a subconscious decision due to you secretly knowing this winter there'll be that much snow this pre cum 4play smattering isn't worth bothering with.

75cm at obertauern @1700m not bad for September.

Not many stations are up and running.

Krippenstein takes the cake. 70cm @1350. More, but windy at 2000m.
And is actually lift served right now. Kind of. But when it clears it'll be too warm again. And no trees there.

We are 1m at 1500m, that's snow level....Not accumulation. I should have gone. I've been watching guys ski on the zauchensee live cam. Down low looks more like semi fun. Above 1500m should be madness. [emoji24]

Good thing it came in as snow up high otherwise we would be in a flood event up here. Downstream must be getting full!
