So, if you could ski anywhere in the Alps this coming week and maybe into next week, where? Based on snow that has fallen, what's open, and what it looks like over the next week ish?

I would go to Stanton, with no tourists could be a nice week.

I mean a bluebird powder day after a metre of snow, it’s going to be busy but apart from the lift out of Médran in the morning (because it broke down for 20 mins), I didn’t queue again more than 5 mins. And in addition to Attelas and La Chaux they opened Chassoure and Savo / La Tzoumaz opening up tons of options. You need to know where you’re going in Verbier, but my boy pinched his mum’s pow skis and we skied fresh tracks in Vallon d’Arbi and Marlenaz at 3pm. It’s now open 7 days and will be empty during the week. If you’re there at weekends ask for some beta from a friendly local 😉

Not too bad yesterday on Parsenn - maybe 80-90%% open? Still closed: Bottom half of Schifer, seetalli, schwarzeealp. Everything else was turning I think…

Yesterday in Stubai was pretty darn amazing under 2900, not amazing everywhere above 2700 or so due to some windcrust. Botomless pow to the valley at 1750. No competition, group of 6-7 getting first tracks every single time. Bananas.

I was rolling with the Swedish crew so I guess I was -art of the problem.

Nothing super crazy just your typical powder rush.

I have well over a 100 ski days in l4v, but fairly infrequently these days. Normally have a decent idea how to time things and where to head on the mountain. Yes the snow stayed deep and untracked off of col des mines all afternoon.

Mid week skiing won’t be a regular thing for me this season. I’ll keep those days (more likely just mornings) for g3k, where there are never lines and you can lap 15k pow laps right under the tram down to the car. I’ll still come to l4v for the odd big day with a checklist of the classics. Skiing is top but the crowds and vibes do get tiresome. I’ll ping you next time I’m around.

St. Anton for the surety (you've been there a bunch as I recall) but their low elevation can make it damp.

Tour de Bernese Oberland? ZRH->Engelberg->Jungfrau or ZRH->Jungfrau->Lauchenalp? Jungfrau is pretty high and on the North side and has been getting snow.

If there's a sudstau or it gets warm, head for St. Moritz since it's high and they've got a base.

Very warm in the lower elevations now. I’d say wait till it starts firing mid winter and then make it happen!

This satanic word should be prohibited! Same as omega blockage and Azores high!

Not really. And then really warm until the 13th.
Then it should get better again.

I bribed the guards. So I know what's going to happen. Colder next week. 14th and later. Stone cold, like the Cambridge mob.
