My first comment on the season:
    50-70 now.
More Monday Tuesday and it's supposed to stay cold.
    Yay!

A lot of fun with only 15cm. The places that got 50cm will be off the scale

Today was satisfactory....except digging/hacking the ice from the access road, digging out the van Stuck in the snow walls and sliding backwards on the access road for 500m ( 2 hours!) Until the road got better and we could return to the parking lot we skipped because we thought that we're smarter than everybody else. Well except the other 3 cars that had to turn back because they were stuck sideways.

All 4wd vehicles with Winter tires. I've never seen anything like it. I fell 4 times just walking on the road.

We actually Bob Slid backwards in a VW van slowly for 50m bouncing left and right into the snow walls because we couldn't stop.

My buddy took it like a man steering the "sled" while I was chasing the car with our avie showels in Hand trying to guide him while laughing hysterically. I was very close to a nervous breakdown and his hands were shaking when he got out of the car.

Snow was sublime for the first day of the season.

Was looking at those tracks out the office window earlier, good work!

They let you take skis up on the lift or did you work it the whole way up?

So, Arlberg opening come Friday. I'm looking at a solo weekend in St Anton Sat-Sun. Any maggots in the area?

Had a long breakfast and a late start in hope somebody would break trail on the top. Nada
At the base station they wouldn’t let me go up with skis so I skinned the straight line. Fleischbank and kasermandl.
All in all, super fast. Not busy only, overtook 4people.
At seegrube nobody had broke trail… I was kinda disappointed about the Innsbruck freeride crowd!
When I was more then halfway up karrinne the patrollers popped up at the ridge. They saw my kickturns and had fomo and went for a „inspection lap“.
Just before topping out they went for one more run. With 4tracks in karrinne I decided to slay julius…. Buhh it was waist deep in the turns bottomless steep blower. Kinda scarry but so good.
Skied seilbahnrinne down to langes Tal and backup for lunch.

They had to test a gasex and after this went for one more hike.
Shame some high clouds moved in.
Went for the side couloir of karrine and got good turns in again.

Does El Nino have much of an impact on the weather over in the Alps? Asking for me. Screw my friend, he can do a Google search! Thanks.

I am a lurker on this thread but reached out for some advice a while back on seasonal rentals close to Geneva. We settled on a village just outside Le Chable. Not sure how many of you are L4V skiers but from the pics, I would guess a few of you are too. See you on the hill…
