    Unfortunately not. Still below average.
Still high alpine in Western Switzerland/ France is the only place with any snow.

Good thing we had that cold week or not many of the ski areas under 2400 would be able to stay open. It’s pretty bad, not quite 2015 bad but it’s just the start of the warm period so we will see how it holds up to the crowds. Got up to 2964 today. The good news is all the new snow up high was wet a wind pressed so it’s gonna be a decent base builder. Fawk it, I’m off to a place where it’s been snowing non stop come Jan 10. Hopefully when I return in February we have some sort of ski season in the alps!

Avie went down the Tritt Kopf.
Hit an open groomer. But victims were not on groomers.

Oh... they are still searching because of a Video. But 8 of 10 have been found. And no one is officially missing.

And I'm leaving Banff (where we are also having a shit year admittedly), to do my first ever ski trip in the Alps January 9. Fuck me this is depressing...

It's looking pretty bleak. We'll get some cosmetical whitening of 10-20cm on the 27th.
But the large scale pattern is dry and warm.
I don't see a change before mid January.

Thanks so much… given the snow situation in Europe at the moment, it seems as if any off-piste skiing will be a pipe dream. Fingers crossed.

Pulled into Verbier this afternoon, snow levels look....high....

First time so no context but doesn't bode super well. Guess its plenty of time to ski with the munchkin or plow the wife while she's in ski school...

Going to head out tomorrow and will report back.

And here I always thought plowing the wives in ski school was the instructor's job...

Pretty great first day all things considered yesterday. Bobinch was kind enough to meet for a few hours and show me around. The man can charge and was super gracious pro bono tour guide. Now let’s pray this new storm freshens things up cause it’s sorely needed….

First signs for a possible pattern change from Jan 9th on. Of course after my week of skiing [emoji3]

Before that: Warm and rain to 2000+
    And then warmer! Yay!

You and Boomer28 should combine forces for the ultimate storm [emoji6]

Edit: evening Model runs are consistent for being 8-10 days out. ( change starts on day 8 and comes into full swing around day 10)

Super fast chalky pist bashing today on a very crowded stubai glacier. Was a lot of fun. Föhn in full Effekt, super warm. It really really needs snow though.
Have fun in Niseko beer. If it wasn't for a small little family planning incident, we'd have gone back out this year as well. As is, Wife would gut me if I went without her

Spring skiing in Verb today. Snow sucked below 2,500m. Everything from small storm below 2k melted and then some…
