It *may* have started to arrive here... Well, I can't see anything (at last), which *may* be a good sign. Shame, I had a tennis lesson booked for this afternoon and I'd HATE to miss it...

amigos, 3 days puking and still wont stop ... upper mountain closed today (and the road too from what i ve heard) so we couldnt get to Gressoney/Jolanda trees (major fuckup) ... however, i ve never skied anything deeper, everyone on the mountain was just getting stuck neck deep trying to dig out ... the only guy having fun was this 60 year old local on a 250cm swallowtail snowboard (no kidding)

Sunday is going to clear up but Monday is the money ... sunny all day long, temps dropping down significantly ... once it clears up they will bomb the upper part and should open it

World Championship Downhill final toady was $$$, looked like a rough course!

Was partly sunny up the valley in Val d'isere, just to turn around and take the bus back down to Bourg where it is snowing steadily.

Anyone know how the southern alps did this time around?

Lesson number 1,2,3 and 4 : Stay in gressoney. You allways have something to ski in that area and the access to pso.salati is usually faster.

But good that you are getting sum! Mails from gressoney have really been disturbing...snow,snow and uuh...more snow..

The floggings will continue until morale improves.

yeah but Gressoney doesnt have the Cafe della Guide, sauna in Indren Hus and free RV parking everywhere But you are right, it could have been much better today if we were in Jolanda, that place is sick ...

No worries about relocating because I'm sure much is closed down due to TOO MUCH snow.

In gressoney st.jean you have Brasserie Paul Verlaine to feed and quench your thirst, my favorite mountain bar in the world! If you drive by it, go and say hi to patric and demand some Stinko...mmm...stinko...

And RV camping should be easy as well, havent seen anyone bothering peeps yet :

Staffal : in the salati parking lot (champoluc side of the river,50m downriver from theentrance...)
La trinite center : (beside the grave yard)
St.Jean : weismatten parking lot, main square parkin lot beside the river or in the sports centre parking lot.

But the sauna...autch.. havent found decent saunas in the gressoney side...

    fuckyou Engadin resorts

    3 pictures from today

and a fuck you to the Engadin that didn't open anything (when an avalanche whips out the bunny hill lifts in Pontresina, a good idea) but still sells day tickets, A SHITTY IDEA

no, klar, it wasn't me, and I understood their German.

the proto-Chevy is because it and 3 other protos were doing laps in Pontresina as I was waiting for the bus in the morning. They do well in snow.

Skied out of Cesna yesterday, lots of untracked still to be had around Sansicario and off the front and back of M. Fraiteve. Seems stable. Whole mountain open, little wind effect at higher elevation. Sestriere largely skied out and fuckin mobbed.

been skiing down in Austria the last, what, 7 weekends. I have a 9-5 and that's all I can do. I ain't hitting the big areas but am doing what I can with Zell am See, Hintertux, SkiWelt, SkiAmade, etc........ It hasn't been that great for snow in these areas. I'm a deutschbag living in mid-bavaria so these are my targets on a friday night after work. I hit a fucking buried fence post last weekend and had to cancel my reservations at Wildschonau (yeah, I know) for this weekend. My first weekend at home for a couple months. My Italy trip is next week. My knee is fooked, but I'm going anyway to at least take pictures.

Anyway, cheers to you pukes living it up and having fun in the good stuff. Hopefully my MRI comes back negative. I've got some fun AT trips planned for the spring. Hate to break those obligations.

    Cheers,

Not to give you shit or anything but if you live in mid bavaria, even with a 9-5 job, the alps are your playground. I regularly drive to the alps for a weekend (and sometimes even just for a day... and I live in the Netherlands).

AM now posting from Andermatt (took tomorrow off) and killed some pillows with schnappi in Disentis...

Tomorrow???? Airolo or a little area around here.Dunno.

    Good luck with the knee.

PS I work a 9-5 job and have two kids...
