Huge score - Rest of Stump on DVD

Ok, so most of you know that the Stump box set was released earlier this year.

GREG STUMP FOURSOME - 4 DVD BOX SET
    Blizzard of Ahhh's
    License to Thrill
Groove Requiem: In The Key Of Ski
    P-Tex, Lies, and Duct Tape

Well what no one else has mentioned is the box I just scored at Costco for $20.

    Powder Explosion:
    Maltese Flamingo
The Good, the Rad, and the Gnarly
    Time Waits for Snowman
The Golden Years of Ski Films (not Stump; Dick Barrymore)

    I'm so fuggin' stoked.

It's made by Topics Entertainment, but I couldn't find it listed on their website. I didn't see it on the Costco site either.

The other Stump box is on amazon too.

When ski cinematographers Greg Stump and Bruce Bennedict got the contracts to produce a feature length ski film, they wanted to be sure it was something...different...

"Bruce, it's Greg. The checks are here."
    "All of them."
    "Yes."
    "Did they cash?"
    "Yes."
"Do they know what we're going to do?"
"Five Chapters. I'm sure they hope it has something to do with skiing."
"Oh good. I'll round up the crew."

Serious Ski Movie Chapter One: Tree Skiing
Serious Ski Movie Chapter Two: Moguls Part 1
Serious Ski Movie Chapter Three: Moguls Part 2
Serious Ski Movie Chapter Four: Extreme Skiing
Serious Ski Movie Chapter Five: Dune Skiing

    Thumbs up

Picked up the 4-pack at the Issaquah Costco yesterday. Just don't look for a big "Greg Stump" on the outer packaging. As Arty noted, it's being hawked as "Powder Explosion."

I wonder how many parents will buy "Powder Explosion" for their kids, not knowing that's it's really a neon fest. There may be a lot of confused, disappointed children come Christmas morning.

In SF? Let me know if the movies are there.

Hijack---> for SF Costco magz - if you're a juice connoisseur, try Suntropics. 2 to a box, Guava and Mango. (just down a bit from the Odwalla). Good stuff...

Edit---->Mntlion, if they're there (SF), I can. Will let you know.

The Good, the Rad, and the Gnarly is fucking amazing. Saturday night we watched it twice, mid-80s roller blading is amazing.

It made me want to buy a set of roller blades, a pair of blue tights, and roller dance on a platform in the sunset.

I have one question though. Why do you need to put powder baskets on roller blade slalom poles?

I told my wife to be on the lookout for this. She went to the Aurora Village Costco (north of Seattle) and they didn't have it. Great, now I'm going to have to make her drive out to Issaquah

FNKA! Looks like I'm stopping by costco tonight!
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I've been watching some of the flicks from the other box set (Blizzard, Licence, Groove and P-Tex) and see that Freeskier had a hand in bringing the films to dvd. That's great. But the fact that they are in the opening title sequences to the movies strikes me as a tad too revisionist. Perhaps I'm overreacting, but it kinda pissed me off.

Would write more, but lunch is calling.

If FollowMe doesn't find it in SF, I just bought an extra copy. Said copy will either be going to mtlion or some worthy member of the Wood crew. In the case of the latter, I wonder who'll be the lucky bidder?
