the 'reply to thread' button that's right above the quick reply box is a good size for font.

bold for thread titles- it's harder to read the thread titles than the started by, probably because the started by is white.

I'd love to see a size limit for sigs, like 3-4 lines or something. they are such a space waster.
    done done and done. thanks!

the next thing I'd suggest is to make the fonts on the main forum page match the fonts on the sub forum pages. ie, make the forum title bigger than the last responded to thread, opposite of what it is now.

I love the quick reply under each post that quotes the post.

Forum template is so messy and poorly formatted and hard on the eyes that, well, I agree that it hurst just to browse here.

Someone needs a 101 class in "Internet: keeping it simple, less is more, focus on content - not clutter"

There are so many non-content and colored elements in this template that most of the time the actual content of a thread, or the thread title, is the least obvious thing on the page.

Fair-play for keeping on top of most of the requests.....

Now that the font size has been raised on the thread listing page, the font itself sucks.

    - Font sizing on forum pages look good to me but they are still tiny when you click "new posts".

Really? I checked my browser three times to see if I had mistakenly enlarged it to 150%. Maybe down a point or two?

argh! just cutting off the tail end of a thread title in the search results to fit in a single line is not going to do it. especially for threads that contain a long name and "NSFW" at the end. You have a limit of the number of characters a thread title can have, this means you should be able to fit them in the necessary number of lines in search results.

EDIT - it kinda works but shows you like 5% content of what there should be.
It seems like when you search by user name, the results are ONLY for threads started by that user. On the old board, I found it handy to sometimes search by my own user name as a way of following threads that I posted in (not just started).

To help that they can shrink the replies/views box. 100% no need for it to take up so much goddamn space.

Thanks for the couple changes. A couple more suggestions:

    - Explore some new fonts, all of them are quite hard on the eyes, not sure that it is
    - Need some vertical bars for breaking up the page
    - Lose the BIG HUGE email looking ICON on the left of the threads

    Thanks for the work!

Ok, font now unreadable in forums again. It's too narrow/tall.

Basically, forum homepage looks good. Smaller Icons, larger fonts. The more simple it gets, the better.

When I click into individual forums (Ski/Snowboard, Padded Room) the font used for posts appear smaller than what they were yesterday. (Yesterday it looked very similar to the old forum font, so it was good. Today, not so much). Font selection/size for quotes in threads is unreadable.

Also, icons to the left on individual forums are too big, make them match the icon size from the forum home page.

    Thanks and good luck.

Search is not actually returning all of the results it should be.

For example, a search for "Whistler" isn't bringing up the current stoke and conditions thread, but threads last posted in last year are in in the top 10.

i posted this in the "top 3 things" thread, reposting here to make sure it's seen.

    1) remove "started by" below the thread title. just put the name, much easier to read the lobby and less clutter. pops out much more if its not buried three words in. or bold the name. possibly even remove the date it was started. just too much clutter overall.

    2) quick navigation at the bottom of a thread. i want the one click back to the forum that you are in. right now, you have to click to open the whole drop down menu, then search through and click again for the forum you want. very annoying if you know how it used to be. i think there used to be a "go" button that is now gone. it kind of defeats the purpose of "quick navigation". also the "top" button doesn't seem to do anything. (maybe top = go but it doesn't work??)

    3) put handles in bold for each post. doesn't make sense the way it is now. plus the "registered user" or whatever is right below the name is bolded, hmmmmm

    4) resized pictures. most of the pics that were up previously are now resized wayy too small. maybe add a script to only resize the huge ones that require the left-right scrolling that cunt up some pages.

    5) remove the "report post" link on bottom left of a post. i mean, isn't this an unmoderated forum anyway?

    6) the ads are fucking annoying. i know they are necessary i guess, but really, i don't care that 56,000 people like TGR on facebook. don't let facebook in, it's a disease i tell you.

    7) develop a mobile-friendly version. Tapatalk pleaseeeeeee

    ok thx bye

This is for spam and for when people break the few rules that are here. Problem is, 99% of the posters here either ignore spam when they see it or bump the shit by saying something stupid when it could get resolved ASAP if reported.
I think you have me confused with someone who is far less awesome.

I was just looking for a random post I made in a gear swap thread last summer, so I went to my user profile and clicked on "Find All Posts."

All I get for results is 7 pages with 123 posts total. The post I was looking for is older than that, so I don't know how I can find it without picking some key words from it and trying the google backdoor. (which ended up working btw...)

Is there another work-around for doing this kind of search within the site now, or is it just another bug waiting to be fixed?

Gameface, if you want to email the powers-that-be and get it solved (since you have an "in" and all... ) have at it!

Oh, and this would be nice too!!

THIS! Why make navigation harder? No more one click to go back out to the top level of the forum you're in. "TOP" button doesn't do anything.

Also, this site is wayyyy slower than it used to be still. I thought this "upgrade" was supposed to improve performance? This site was never fast (with all the ads & such) but now it just crawls.

The rest of the stuff I can live with if I must, but these two issues, especially the speed issue, are really a bummer.
