    Last TR from Japan...sniff, sniff!!!

    Hi guys,

last report from Hokkaido, where the snow factory finally stopped! In the past days, the sun (finally after almost 3 weeks) finally showed up!

May sounds kinda weird, but I was quite happy to see it!

To top it off, it showed up after some nice storms!

This is my last trip report from Japan, where it has really stormed like crazy in the past weeks! It was for sure the biggest non-stopped snow I have ever seen!

    Hope you enjoyed the shots!!!

    Headin' to India tomorrow!

    Cheers,

Nice, I have some friends heading that way Hokkaido tomorrow. I've had trips up that way over the last three years, but not this season. Maybe next year when/if the finances come good.

I can't believe you are a rando racer because I look so much better in Lycra than you.

The Volcano is Mt Yotei, just next from Niseko! There are some sweets line, but the weather is so unpredictable that it made this 1800m climb really hard to time with some great weather!!

I just landed yesterday in Delhi, quite a buzy city!!! There isn't much snow on the forecast yet for Gulmarg.... I'm leaving Delhi on the 26th for Srinagar.... Hopefully, it will snow sometimes!!! Right now, it really doesn't seem promising at all!

I guess I will too start to pray for more snow!

Good luck & be careful with water & food for India. I was up that way a few years back & all I saw were the four walls of a rather basic hotel in Srinagar.

Lets hope standards have improved , of course that was thirty years ago!

thank's for that shot of Mt Yotei. I am headed over next saturday. My partner has been making the plans. He probably already had that on the list. If not I'll add it. Just looked at my itinerary my partner rented a car for a couple of days to ski this. Hope the weather works out.

bottled water EVERYWHERE but Gulmarg, there are no settlements above Gulmarg so its pretty much pure snow runoff thats ok to drink if you have a decent stomach.
