    CO Forecast - not bad.

Unsettled weather today, with clouds and scattered snow showers, gets
interesting tonight. A strong jet and moisture on NW flow should bring
    snow
to the northern part of the state tonight through Thursday. The
    moisture is
forecast to stay in the NW corner of the state, favoring the Steamboat
    zone
and the northern half of the Central Mtns. High pressure is following
    by
    Friday. The forecast details:

    Northern Mountains
Wednesday: Cloudy, light snow, 0-2". Winds WSW/15-25, higher abv TL and
    ridgetops, G 50-60. Highs 14-24
Wednesday Night: Snow 3-6", 4-8" Steamboat Zone. Winds W/15-25,
    stronger nr
    & abv TL. Lows 8-18.
    Thursday: Snow, add'l 3-6", 4-8" Steamboat Zone Winds NW/15-25, G 50s.
    Highs 10-20.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, continued snow. Winds continued strong.
    Lows
    8-18.

Defintely not bad all things considered.

Anyone heading up to the Berthoud/Scummit area Saturday?
I was amazed at how light and fluffy the powdery snow was and at how the challenge never ended.

Do you guys ever get more than 4-8" unless you're in Wolf Creek or Silverton or some steep-ass mountain you can only look at because if you set foot on it it will kill you?

No. Colorado sucks. 4-8 inches is a big dumper for us. Why would anyone ever want to ski here? It's all a fake. Buff pass does not average 500" a year, Loveland ski area gets no where near 400" on average, and Steamboat never gets dumped on. Sucks. Never any big storms. Never anything over 5", never good snow. Can't wait to move.

I remember a 90+incher at the wood last February, for some reason though it wasn't national news. I wonder why?

I love this "my dick is bigger than yours" CO vs. CA debate! So funny. And SO tongue-in-cheek.

Your snow is so dense it doesn't matter if you're skiing 15" or 50".

Probably because it wasn't so widespread as to close 70 miles of interestate highway for three days, force evacuations of towns b/c of avalanche danger, shut down city and state government, shut down military bases, and strand other people living in remote areas for 10 days so that they had to be resupplied at their houses by helicopter.

    Just a guess...
