well, stiffness isn't the only characteristic that makes something fun or not. I am looking for something "stupid easy to ski", that's part of the reason I love my S3s even though they are often poo-pooed by the TGR aggressive skiing crowd.

I imagine that there are many skis -- and types of skis -- that would make me happy. But i don't need a stiff AF hard charger.

The Bonafide doesn’t seem overly stiff to me, but they were used when I got them so maybe not as stiff as new. if you could find a used Kabookie it’s the same ski without the metal and still well regarded.

Invictus 99ti is cambered, they were a great overlooked charger same as the original Invictus/108ti. I think you’d want the beefiest tele rig to realize they’re potential.

Danno, I'm not looking to sell this setup, but I have some 184 Atris mounted with NTN that I think meet your requirements. Maybe a little wide, but they're super easy and fun to ski. Like effortless easy.

Atris in the 184 length are really popular in general, so you could probably find some for cheap here or your local FB marketplace.

Just a thought.

Edit: I also owned the S3 back in the day...these are as easy to ski, but perform better in every metric.

Thanks, but those are a lot wider than what I am looking for; I'm wanting a WROD ski that would fun on groomed and playful if I get to ski on the edges of the groomed, I already have something vaguely similar to those for when the snow gets good.

Can confirm.

I've used 96's, 96 Black Eds, and 88's, and been happy with all of them. I have a pair of Wingman 86 Ti's that I might throw some bindings on as well.

I’ve been on ripsticks outlaw X for a couple years and just picked up ripstick 106 black edition to ski this year. The OG ripstick 106 is an excellent tele ski for daily Utah skiing. Hoping the black isn’t too stiff.

QST 92 would be another good choice in the easy+fun category and can be found cheap (like under $400 new). Not sure why they aren't more popular.

I’m using my old 2013 K2 Coombacks with Outlaw Xs and TX Comps for firm snow. Yeah they’re 102 underfoot but there’s no tail rocker and the tip rise is fairly modest (giving them a longer running edge) which combined with a burly construction allows them to rail at high speed.

You’re probably right. It’s just not floppy. Lightweight it is not though.

That’s why I brought up the Invictus 95, much softer but still really fun on soft groomers and shallow side snow. Nothing like the ti version. But there are better more playful options out there that would also handle crud/firm conditions better obviously.

The reason I brought up the Bonafides is that I think they are a very versatile ski that is really fun on groomed and side snow in a variety of conditions, and I suspect easier to ski than the your Armadas. Also, older versions can be found for cheap. They do like speed more than noodling around though. Nothing wrong with a stiffer ski not suiting your style of skiing. Some of the best tele skiers I see are not necessarily the fastest chargers. And I like speed but am far removed from being one of the smoothest skiers out there.
