Mounted a set of Outlaws on a pair of Elan Wingman 86 Ti's last night. I really like my Ripstick 88's w/Outlaws as well, but wanted something a bit "edgier". We'll see how it goes.

I may go to one of the Colorado demo days in February, but not because of the bindings, as I already own and use the Outlaw, Lynx, and Axl -- what I'm interested in are the Moment skis mounted with tele bindings. (22 Designs says they will have Voile and Moment skis for the demo, but I already have skied a bunch of Voile skis.)

Do any of you tele with any of the Deathwish or Wildcat versions? I've heard second-hand accounts of tele skiers enjoying the Deathwish, but it would be helpful to hear a first-hand account.

I've got the deathwish 104s with lynx. I really like them but if I could do it over I'd mount them back a bit, I may move them. I've never actually sunk the tips but with the rear rocker they it throws me off if skis bump and/or when skating I catch them sometimes. I talked to the 22 designs demo tour guy at Sierra At Tahoe a couple weeks ago and he said he had same set up and mounted them one position back and liked them like that, but all of their demos were mounted on recommended center.

I’ve got the outlaws on ripstick 106 and it’s my first time using the brakes. Have you experienced any issues with the brakes hooking / becoming entangled during turn transition ? It’s an annoying occurrence which I’m trying to address with a slight widening of my stance but it’s a tough change to make. Im gonna keep the brakes on this setup for a while to see if I can deal.

I'll be at the demo at Ski Santa Fe on Sunday, maybe Saturday too, hoping to get friends on tele for the first time. Also hoping to try some of the Moment skis, but with feet at the top of the Small NTN size range I expect any ski I demo with a Small binding will be shorter than I'm used too. Should be interesting!

I have Outlaw Xs with brakes on Moment Governors (116mm underfoot) as my only inbounds ski, and while I do catch the brakes on each other or the other ski occasionally, this has gotten much less frequent over the last year or so. It pretty much only happens when I have my knees and feet right together for a nose press/butter or something. Given that I occasionally pop out of Outlaws, I still prefer brakes to leashes.

I also have a pair of Deathwishes in a 190 mounted with outlaws. Probably the favorite tele ski in my quiver. They just work. I've been meaning to swap the lynx over to the ski just to try it out sometime.

Scored some minty Kilowatts with Fritschi Freerides for $50 last week... sold the touring bindings for the cost of the skis in the b/s/t forum. Axls were $65 on FB but didn't come with heel blocks. Nice little budget addition to the quiver. I like these old noodly Black Diamonds for slushy mid-Atlantic skiing.

Gifted to my GF by a good friend. Great shape, used once, bit of rust on the edges. Most of it cleaned off easy enough. Dstar Lafille skis, circa late 1990s.

Got some T4 boots that seem to fit her and should work ok for now. She is still learning the basics of ski touring. Might need a couple of the longer spring hook cable thingys.

Always fun to bring old boards back up to usefulness. Old skewl narrow planks at 85/65/75

Not often, but it has happened. To go along with that, I had some brakes on a set of skis, and they were a tad wide. Pretty sure I was getting those to grab the snow.

Enjoy the Ripsticks! I've had a couple set of 96's set up Tele over the years and they were great! I think I like the "regular" the the Black Ed though. The Blacks were kinda "plank" by comparison.

Tua season as in 2 pair a season...I worked at a shop and we had Tua and BD resolutions. I thought Tua was the shit until I skied the resos. Man, our demo Tua would barely last a season with all the top sheet chipping. My first pair of skis were Toute Niege and I liked em on pins. I think the Chouinard Valmonte X waxless was the shit for what folks now call XCD

Has anyone broken the tech toe fitting on a Meidjo before? Literally just the silver pointy piece. It looks like it can come out but couldn’t find anything online about a replacement for it.

I liked the Tuas before they went to that cap construction. Vertical sidewall with metal Cirques and Montets were so smooth
