I have been away from my comp for a bit, and have a couple pairs of these at the shop... Kinda s7ish, jj tippy with standard camber underfoot and no rocker. Longest length=183,165 as of now, but expect more next year.

Looks like a lhasa mixed with a jj. Anyone ski it?

Evo has it listed as the 2012 Travis Steeger pro model. It looks like it comes in a 192 but maybe it is not available yet? This looks like an awesome ski. No tailrocker and everything good about the JJ... Steeger definitely ripped and I hope that this ski will do his memory the justice he deserves.

Damn man.. hadn't even heard about that one...sounds like an interesting ride..i like the dial back of the rocker mania to a more realistic tip rocker / flat tail for what accounts for a majority of the riders out there who don't land backwards..

my buddy at armada's been skiin em with me for the last few weeks. nothin but good things to say about em. seems like a solid design, major step up from the jj imo

Sports Den in SLC had a few pairs. Super light weight (which was expected) and what looked like more camber underfoot than the JJ. Also, it will only be offered in those two sizes until next year.

Saw these in a shop in Nelson last week, look pretty cool, kind of a JJ shovel with ARV/ANT tail shape maybe? Competitor would be the S3.

I handfucked some of these at US Outdoors the other day. They had one pair hiding behind a bunch of other Armada's. Nice shaper, and flex. But.....Armada.

Very curious about this ski. Wonder if the flex in similar to the soft tips/tails like the JJ while stiff under foot. Would like if it had a stiffer tail than the JJ though From the photo, looks like cool graphics IMO and a possible everyday go to board for the left coast.

^^^ Cuz maybe he didnt like doing a wheelie everytime he landed? Not everyone agrees that tail rocker is useful and personally I think it sucks. I think Armada is going to have a home run with this one. Really want to try the 192, but I guess I will have to wait until next year

I can see the point of a ski without tail rocker, but it seems like kind of a messy middle to have a twin tip on it. I would want either a ski like the Atomic Bentchetler with tip and tail rocker for playful jibbyness or like the Atlas with tip rocker, but an actual flat, square tail. The twin tip just doesn't make a ton of sense, none of the benefits of a rockered tail, but also limited benefits of a cambered tail. I think the RC 112, Atlas, El Dictator is the way I would go if I wanted tip rocker and a firm tail. Just my $.02 though...

With its radius in the teens, I doubt this ski is meant to be a charger. Having a twin would help toward maintaining a playful, nimble feel while providing more support and better hard snow performance than tail rocker. I don't see why it's all or nothing...

^^^ I agree that twin tips dont make sense, but some people want a do it all ski and it sells. That is why it is there. Personally I have been anti-twin-tip since before the Pocket Rocket

This ski looks like the most perfect thing, if I can ever find my line on the ANTs. I might have to come in and fondle them, roundhouse?

DC, I didn't even look at the turn radius, so yeah, that makes more sense. Would be interesting to ski, but it does kind of seem like they are offering too many skis over too narrow of a range. Product differentiation is pretty important to brand integrity, but now I am sounding like a business class, so I will stop.

I guess I would have rather seen a hard charging, flat tailed ski that would be significantly different than current soft snow offerings from Armada. I would also rather not have Armada suing everyone under the sun, but we don't always get what we want in life.

Professor, I have been skiing on twin tips or tail rockered skis forever. I finally got on a pair of flat tailed skis last season and was reminded how fun it was to feel a tail push you back as you exit a turn. I still will ski twin tips and tail rockered skis because I think it is fun (and I am holding onto my youth by landing and skiing backwards because that is what the cool kids do) but I would love to add a pair of RC 112's or Atlas' or El Dictators to the quiver for pure charging days.

IMO, they could keep most of their current product differentiation by taking the ANT, widening it just a bit, giving it less camber and some tip rocker. That would be a ski I'd be interested in.
