So I'm finally going to start waxing skis (got tired of paying other ppl to do a crappy job) but I can't figure out the snow temp. I feel like an idiot but is there a conversion chart out there or something?

Really
Does anyone use mother fucking google or search anymore ???

the suggested temp range is usually ON the package or on the mfgers website but you don't really sound smart enough to wax your own skis ?
Just guess...it lags air temp a bit...in other words it takes time to warm up/cool down. Old and/or man made snow is aggressive so wax a little colder...I add a little graphite for cold/old/man made. High moisture content = wax a little warmer...Dry = wax a little colder. I've never fucked with flouros, just cheap hydro. Crayon your wax...dripping is pointless and uses about 10 times more wax than you need. Also, I don't know shit, so go here for more info http://www.tognar.com
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

here's some good info about snow temps. Really all you need to worry about is air temp, and how much it may affect the topmost layer of snow.

I use a mix of the red and blue Toko hydro. When I skied at Moonlight I would hot scrape with bulk cold temp wax as a prep sometimes. I know that seems retarded, but see my comment about the gnome sharpened rocks. And I would also use a little bit around now when it gets stupid cold.
When the red/blue is used up, I'll probably just go with their universal crap.
I don't race, but I'm a very decent skier, and I know how to do a darn good tune.
