Avoid employing unlucky people - throw half of the pile of resume's in the bin without reading them.
Is there a limit as to how many designs you can send in?
No, but make them good...Originally Posted by wanghoeby

If i have some sort of uphoric inspiration while im studying for finals, ill send one in. That is if i dont fall asleep before i get it on paper!
Feel the fear and do it anyway!
Sent in a couple yesterday but didn't hear back. Assuming they were received?
Sorry for the delay. I got them!Originally Posted by jibij
For anyone who's sent in designs, if you haven't received a reply from me via e-mail, then I did not get them.

so have you narrowed it down to a certain few that will be judged or what?
thanks

Additional prize - 1 pair of Smith Goggles.
I take it nothing rocked the TGR staff eh?Originally Posted by Grifter

How many entries have there been so far?
By "great stuff" I mean that we sincerely appreciate the time and effort put into the entries so far, but as yet we haven't found one that really pops.Originally Posted by wanghoeby
Here's some more help - we're not looking for a logo redesign. We're looking for a cool design to go on a shirt. Some icon that captures the spirit of what drives y'all. We want to recuperate our costs on this, so it has to be something a bunch of people will buy. It would even be better if we could make some profit so we can fix up the old Dream truck which was recently rescued from the crusher.Maybe I'm not supposed to ask this but I'll go ahead. Are any of my entries still on your desk, or did they all catch a lift to the "round file".
Either way could you tell me more specifically what you want in this contest. After looking at your logo for sometime now I have realized how kick-A it is. I also understand that it would be quite hard for such a large company to change its logo. So, could you please elaborate on the "Dream" concept and/or what you are thinking about for a T-shirt to help me out.

It's tough to turn people loose with no real direction on something like this and expect to get something you'll like. Maybe you at TGR can internally craft a brief that describes what it is you're looking for, examples of stuff you like, maybe even themes? I myself (a professional graphic designer) didn't submit anything as I could smell this scenario a mile away and it feels like a waste of time. I'm sure you'll get better designs if you give out better info. Hope this helps.
We were originally trying not to make the guidelines too restrictive. The idea being that we would eliminate some great designs simply because they didn't fit our creative brief. We are looking for a design YOU want that we also believe we can sell.Originally Posted by meatdrink9
But, if you really want guidelines, here's some you can follow (or not if you think you've got something better that's outside the bounds):
1. A 1 to 4 color design related to ski/snowboard sports
2. A theme that captures the idea of revolution and/or revitalization
3. Use of the color orange would be good (fits with the stuff in the Ukraine as well as the color of TGR's the Dream truck that the boys brought down from AK when they started the company)

Sweetness to the max.
Here's a freebie:
Uhp, contest's over.
shucks
After much deliberation we've found a winner! The winning design was submitted by crbecker1. He wins a pair of Smith goggles and 20 copies of the finished product to do with what he will (now might be a good time to start with the subtle requests for swag).
Thanks to everyone who submitted their work!
Before we publish the final design there's a little color tweaking that needs to be done, but I'll give you a little preview...
We'll have these available for sale in a few weeks.
NICE!

It's idomatic, beatch.
