    Two-way radios

Does anyone have a suggestion for a decently priced two-way radio for mostly inbounds resort use? I'm going to get a set for my sister, niece, and nephew who always separate and rarely have cellphone service. My nephew had a minor injury last weekend and I thought it would be a good gift idea.

I've had good luck with motorola. Got some mr230 rechargeable for $45 off amazon. I like size and NOAA which is good to have. May be able to teach the kids something.
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Assuming you are talking FRS/GMRS..... the cobra's seem well priced and reliable. Agreed the weather can be a nice feature and lots have it. For resort use be sure you get the side band tuning to avoid overlapping chatter.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

I've had several pairs of radios. They have all been pretty comparable to each other. Most of them were either Motorola or Cobra. I picked up a pair of Cobra CXR 920's last summer. They're a little pricy, a little on the big side, and heavier than I'd like. However they have astounding transmit and recieve, excelent battery life, and nice options.
