Not a huge LaRussa fan either, but I can't stand Nolan Ryan and his vast array of shitty facial expressions... Never really liked him as a player either. Sort of like - okay, we get it, you can throw 100. How 'bout some strikes?

    Cards in 6.

That missed foul call off the foot of Beltre was huge. Still not sure I want that kind of call reviewable, but man taking the bat out of his hands right there was big.

Another good ballgame, nice rally for the Rangers. I think I'm just rooting against La Russa at this point.

I just caught up with the whole Arthur Rhodes story, that's pretty interesting.

    Great, great win tonight.

As for last night and as much as I hate to admit it, Wash was out-managed by LaRussa. I won't go into details because I don't think most of you care, but it was fairly blatant.

An interesting development to keep your eye on will be Hamilton's groin. He's nowhere near 100% and it's very evident. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him DH at least 1 or 2 games back in Texas. Hopefully he can stay healthy throughout the series.

    /homer rant.

It's the world series, and your team is in it... I say rant away!

In game 1, Washington just kind of outmanaged himself. I'm not a big fan of pinch hitting or going to the bullpen. Keep the best product on the field and hope for the best. Not that Ogando is a bad reliever, but Wilson still looked sharp. Anyway, it's nice to have the series tied up and I'd just like to see as long a series as possible.

Andrus and Kinsler are a hell of a defensive combo up the middle. That glove shovel by Andrus was one of the best plays I've seen in the post-season. I went to bed before it happened (I know lame) but why the hell would LaRussa pull his closer in order to pitch L-L to an injured Hamilton?

Also, gotta agree with Tippster on the awkward phrasing there GBB.

So Albert Pujhols is pretty good. Not sure his game is up there with the Jack Morris complete game shutout in game 7 (or was it 6) but 5 hits 14 total bases, 3 homers, 6 rbis is pretty special. Does this mean he's worth 30 mil a year for the next 10? I dunno. BUt the Cards can't lose him now.

    nice series so far.
Cards should give Poo hole part of the franchise to stay, he is ahuge part of that community and him leaving would be bad for baseball.

Pujuols's first homer on Saturday was one of the furthest hit balls I've ever seen hit to left field in the Ballpark. He just destroyed that ball and then proceeded to leave his mark on WS history.

Huge game tonight. Probably the last game CJ will ever start in a Rangers uniform.

Good point. It is pretty sweet watching the national sports media eviscerate TLR today over last night's game.
