You don't see many spraffies these days

I doubt even many OSU cheerleaders can get their legs that far apart. And I like Smith stuff. And I've never been to Antarctica.

Old school trick. Check. Old school mono. Check. Old school Panama. Check.

OK, mutes might not be that old school. I really need a new helmet though!

The Old School Tricks contest is now officially over. If our athletes didnt do so well at X Games,
    http://www.smithoptics.com/lounge/Ne...Winter+X+Games

I would be adding some of you guys to our A Team for next year.

Congrats go out to Nacho Skibre' for winning this round. He had it all, the form, the costume, the long skis, and the willingness to teach this lost art form to the youth of today.
Nacho Skibre' send me a PM and Smith will dial you in with the goods, as well as enter you for the final prize, the trip to Antarctica.

This now marks the official start to the best Powder contest. Things may have been high and dry lately, but we know you have been getting it good this year so lets see your best bugs bunny-gopher burrowing, trench leaving, vapor making, over the head glory shots. Go for it! For more info check out the contest homepage http://www.tetongravity.com/contests/smith/

Unless the winner is from Jordan Manley Photography, you might want to send the prize to the person who took the photo the winner used (and cropped).
I saw that photo in a Google search when the contest started

Thanks for bringing that to our attention Empty Beer. I love how this place polices itself.

I will get in touch with Jordan Manley and see what is going on here.

Thanks for playing, now lets see what you all have from the DEEEP!

    Entering the Whiteroom

This was the first day Snowbird had opened Mineral after serveral days and several feet of snow. Those who were in line when the rope dropped know how deep it was.

There are faceshots, which we all love, and then there is full on tunneling into the whiteroom... this was the latter.

That leads me to select another winner and that is none other than....

    The Last Frontier

I am not 21, so i don't fit for the grand prize. I am an amateur photographer/snowboarder trying to work my way up. I wish to win, because it will put me out there in the snowboarding photography, and possibly help me achieve a life of doing 2 things i love doing, snowboarding and photography.

    Sunset Powslash

This shot is take in Revelstoke mountain resort, interior B-C, Canada. For me this shot really feel like the end of a perfect day, 20 cm of fresh snow, no cloud and huge open bowl untouch... thats another day at the office for me

    Deep Powder!!

Every time I look at this photo it reminds me of those days we all live for, bottomless powder days! If only everyday was like this! This was taken at Squaw Valley, off the famous KT-22 Lift.

Greatest Snow on Earth; Bluebird Pow!

This photo was taken on Thanksgiving Day, 2010. It was freezing cold, but we toured up Grizzly Gulch anyways. I took this image at the end of the day. Despite the cold, we still had smiles on our faces!

    Thanksgiving Day Bounty

My good friends and I toured up Grizzly Gulch in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Thanksgiving Day, 2010. The temps were in the single digits, but we couldn't resist all the new snow!

    Stomp? Check. Powder? Check Check.

You know that amazing feeling when you stomp a huge backcountry air? You barely realize you've landed because the snow is so soft and deep, and by the time the cloud of white clears, you're shredding long past the landing zone.
This image captures that heavenly feeling. The huge spray of fresh powder freezes time, suspending the weightless balls of powder, making that moment last forever.

Did we lose a few days worth of postings here?
I'm surprised more people aren't interested in a trip to Antartica.

    Emma's Pow

How rare is it to see Emma's, Flagstaff and Cardiff untracked and Superior's Country Lane in the distance
