QOTSA at Montreux Jazz Festival with my boys geo039 and mclovin. Rampage!![]()
Vacationing down the shore and my BIL just let us know he has tix on Friday night for Gov’t Mule and The Avett Bros. Psyched!
So true. If there was a way to make it one giant pit, only fitting. I've been part of a "pit" in the seats at the Concord Pavilion, it can be done.
Was front n center last time through at the Fillmore (and likely every other time I have seen em), so it will be a little weird. But whatevs, gotta do it.
Caught Neil Young at the Wang in Boston last night. Man, I was shocked at how good his voice is still at 72. He is a piece of work listening to his little stories inbetween tunes. Classic.
I was jonesing to be there but couldn't pull it off. Iv'e been trying to find myself in front of Pocahontas (and Surfer Joe) for 30+ years! Grrrrr....I did catch another of my all time favorites, Mellow My Mind and On My Way Home @ Carnegie Hall a few years back. As always, nice set list.
Wang Theater 7-11-18
eta... Tonights the Night too.

I just bought tickets to see The Growlers in September in Boston. I am so effin stoked to see them for the first time. Any fans on here? I feel like they kinda fly under the radar considering their overall output.

"I find I have already had my reward, in the doing of the thing" - Buzz Holmstrom
"THIS IS WHAT WE DO"-AML -ski on in eternal peace
"I have posted in here but haven't read it carefully with my trusty PoliAsshat antenna on."-DipshitDanno
Caught Radiohead in Montreal on Monday night. Holy fuck did they ever bring it.
It’s been a good week.
We saw Twisted Pine at a house concert on Sunday and then went to The Hop at Dartmouth last night to listen to Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.
My favorite part was that there were hardly any phones/cameras at the house show and The Hop asks everyone to turn their phones completely off. It was like being at a show in 1998.
Sambada playing free show this afternoon in Tahoe city.
Went to see Tinariwen last night. Had never heard of them, but I'm pretty much up for any show once, especially if there are some cultural aspects in the music. They were good and fun to watch, but somewhat repetitive.
The only downside was with the audienceThe band incouraged clapping along, but it got to the point of too much, too often. And when you have white nh'erites clapping off beat it gets a little tough to take, but drinking beer, hitting the pen, and picturing Steve Martin in the Jerk made it just comical.
was at the Newport Folk Festival today, got there early and had to leave early but saw Fantastico Negrito (who was in fact fantastico), JD McPherson (who pretty much killed it) and This Is The Kit, which was good and had a couple of really good tunes and a couple I didn't digquite as much. Jason Isbell was playing later but we had to go. There's 4 stages so we had to miss some other good stuff but oh well.
Yeah no doubt but he came on last on the main stage and we just couldn't hang.
^Some good viddy showing up on the youtubes. Nice rendition of Ohio too.
