Saw Cheap Trick last Thursday. Was a good show. Robin's and Rick's sons are in the band, which is kind of cool.

Gaerea opened and they were a ton of fun. Super theatrical black metal, amazing stage presence

Next was Blackbraid. Great set and an amazing mosh pit.

The guys from Blackbraid came out into the pit for Wolves and thrashed around with us for an absolutely amazing set, really a phenomenal show.

The audience was a weird mix of dudes with short hair and "University of Puget Sound" type hoodies and metalheads.

And Royal Thunder's singer is just plain fantastic!

I dig it and I'm happy that AiC is still killing it. But ...Layne was so damned iconic, I'm not sure I'd be able to get over it. He was the MAN to me in high school....so different than Eddy, Chris, Kurt, etc. I remember the first time I saw that movie Singles and rewinding the live AiC scenes over and over.

prob goes without saying but the sphere is unreal.

Was in town on a work trip and knew u2 was in town. Kept refreshing the floor tickets all day trying to grab one on the rerelease. Got 5 different tix in my cart throughout the day but could never get it across the finish line.

Decided to head down there and try and find a ticket anyway. Standard wook shit like putting my finger in the air but this is a different crowd and that has no meaning lol

Anyway lady overheard me asking where the box office is and asked if I need a ticket. Tried $100, but she said naw we paid way more how about $200 - DEAL. Same seats look to be going for like $500-$700 on stubhub right now.

Section 307 almost center. Location is amazing to see the screens. u2 rocks, I don't really know their catalog at all except the hits. Edge rips too.

They brought out GaGa which was pretty dam cool too.

If you can swing it, go, it's incredible

Goniff and I headed to MTL on Saturday to see Hiss Golden Messenger. It was a early and short show since the club had a DJ set coming on at 11pm. [emoji1361]

Such great music - particularly for a $25 ticket with only 200 other folks.

The opening act was Sylvie who were unfortunately yet another skip em.

Wife is a late to the game (born in Singapore) die hard U2 fan and got tickets through the fan club lottery. Tickets, hotel, travel were $3,200 for the two of us. Worth it given that it was literally her first ever (non-classical music) concert!

What the pics don’t show is that the sound quality is unreal.

BTW, the work going in to the Formula One race is bonkers. Money means nothing anymore apparently.

    went to my first rave

long time fan of EDM, been to lots of EDM shows but never a real, bonified rave

not trying to yuck anyone's yum but there was way too much meth being smoked in the dance floor for my taste. WAY too much.

Any meth is too much meth.

Saw Lukas Nelson & POTR last Friday. Great show in a 800 person room.

He played Moonlight in Vermont on an upright piano and the 4 song encore was great.
