Just got back from seeing Shooter Jennings at The Saint in Reno, NV.
All I can say is that Shooter and his band are badass. Go see them if you get the chance.
They rip a mean blend of prog-tonk metal boogie country rawk.

^^^ he's got a super hot wife too. SOA turned me on to shooter.
2020 starting off great - just picked up tix for torche, russisn circles, and big business.

Shooter and Co. was my first show in almost a year. Kicking things off heavy.
I am hoping to keep the streak going, unless this coronavirus shuts things down...
Planning to see Corb Lund early April.
Scored tix to see Kraftwerk.
Scored tix to see Tool.
Scored tix to see Billy Bragg.
Looking to score tix for Thom Yorke, Pete International Airport, Seun Kuti, Orville Peck, and DJ Shadow...
Would love to see Supergrass, but so far they are only doing 2 shows Stateside (LA and NYC). And since I was an idiot and missed David Byrne last year, I was looking at his Broadway run...
Saw Revivalists pop up acoustic show Mon night in Buffalo...just lead guitar and lead singer. 3rd time I've seen them and this was the best.
Really intimate and the raw talent really shows in a show like that. Dude is the real deal
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

The Drive-In may be the new concert venue...

I had tix to At The Drive in in Denver, but they crashed their van on the way there. Winter driving, yo. Think somebody got pretty hurt iirc.
Wait, what are we talking about?
So, how much money is everyone expecting back from concert tix when they start cancelling when postponing doesn’t work? I am getting $65 so far out of about a grand sitting out there.
I am certain the Steely Dan & Stevie Winwood show we bought tickets for on June 9th will be cancelled. Have tickets for Nightwish in September in Toronto. I will be really bummed if that show is cancelled.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
I honestly don't know what to think on this subject.
I have tickets to see Kraftwerk in June, though just 2 days ago they annoinced the tour is pushed back to 2021.
I have tix to see Billy Bragg in July and that show is still selling tix and scheduled.
Thom Yorke rescheduled all of his April gigs for Sept/Oct.
RATM rescheduled all their shows for 2021.
Tool has postponed their entire 2020 tour and have yet to release new dates
Unless artists are going to start doing shows at drive-ins, as I posted about above, I dunno about the live music scene going forward...
My Primus show in July is postponed as well as Stick Figure in early June, but Jason Bonham a few days before SF is still showing gtg.
Never get the insurance, but it is for when I can’t get to the show, not if the show will happen or not.
IMHO, this is a really well-written piece on the live concert experience:

I will take anything I can get right now... Seether did a live stream to celebrate their new album and played a lot of oldies... 1 hr and 15 min for $25... I am missing live shows big time and do not believe live shows are in the cards
for 2021... Not the same as live but was great to watch it with friends and throw back some beers...
Aaron Lewis has been doing the same thing for the past couple of weeks... Would love to see other bands do it...!

So many shows postponed til next year. The world better look a whole lot different or I may be trying to sell the tix cuz I am just not into going.
And live music has always been a huge part of my life. It’s weird man.

I going to start making a point of watching some concerts. Not the same, but it’s something.
