    Oakley polarized distortion

Can anyone explain to me why, when I look at Oakley polarized lenses while wearing polarized glasses already, I can see what looks like lots of stress and flex in the lens? It kind of looks like the lenses are absolutely crammed into the frame and the result is a bunch of distortion.
What I find surprising that this is totally unique to Oakley, even the cheapest polarized don't have this apparent issue.
    More curious than anything else.

when I look at polarized stuff while wearing polarized lenses I always see this distorted ripple kinda deal everything from car window to other sunglass. There is lot of Oakley hate on here but but its pretty hard to dispute the fact that they make incredible lenses.

Polycarbonate lenses distort (bend) quite easily. Because pressure is what holds lenses in the frame, you will get those small anomalies at the edges, but more often than not, the eye will not recognize them, as they are usually on the periphery, and they are much too close to the eye for it to focus on them.

I prefer glass for polarized lenses. I don't find them particularly useful for anything other than fishing however, but that's a personal preference.

I had some Oakley polarized lenses, and was not impressed with their performance. My old Ray Bans were so much better.

I have had several polarized prescription sunglasses from Oakley over the last ten years and I have been impressed with them. I will look at one pair from another to see if I can see the same cracks.
