    Gore-Tex specs

    Observations, not all pro shell is the same. There are 2 and I really like the 319. Ripstop is annoying and strange.

    Performance shell is lighter weight, but they always tend to use a liner, so the overall weight of the coat seems to go up. odd.

    Pro Shell:

    -Gore-Tex® Pro Shell 3-Layer 319
    A lightweight plain weave fabric with textured warp yarns for a cotton touch handfeel. Full-dull look with a great feel. Water and windproof with excellent breathability and comfort. DWR treated surface.
    Face material: 100% Polyamide
    Membrane: ePTFE
    Backing: 100% Polyamide
    Performance: Hydrostatic head - 28,000 mm
    Moisture Permeability, RET <5,5
    Weight: 109 g/m²

    -Gore-Tex® Pro Shell 3-Layer 320
    Superlight yet durable mini ripstop fabric with high level of stretch for maximum freedom of movement. Fine denier, texturized, full dull yarn provides soft touch and nice hand feel even at low temperature. Water and windproof with excellent breathability and comfort. DWR treated surface.
    Face material: 89% Polyamide, 11% Elastane
    Membrane: ePTFE
    Backing: 100% Polyamide
    Performance: Hydrostatic head - 28,000 mm
    Moisture Permeability, RET <5,5
    Weight: 104 g/m²


    Performance Shell;

    -Gore-Tex® Performance Shell 2-Layer 239
    A lightweight plain weave fabric with textured warp yarns for a cotton touch handfeel. Full-dull look with a great feel. Water and windproof with excellent breathability and comfort. DWR treated surface.

    -Gore-Tex® Performance Shell 2-Layer 236
    A woven 30-denier lightweight fabric with a ripstop structure. Excellent abrasion resistance for its weight. Semi-dull lustre. Water and windproof with great breathability and comfort. DWR treated surface.
    Face material: 100% Polyamide
    Membrane: ePTFE
    Performance: Hydrostatic head - 28,000 mm
    Moisture Permeability, RET < 6
    Weight: 85 g/m²

    windstopper and soft shell;

    Face material: 100% Polyester
    Membrane: ePTFE
    Backing: 100% Polyester
    Performance: Moisture Permeability, RET < 8,6
    Weight: 186g/m²

    Face material: 94% Polyamide, 6% Elastane
    Membrane: ePTFE
    Backing: 100% Polyester
    Performance: Moisture Permeability, RET <6
    Weight: 265 g/m²

    Gore Packlite

    The lightest Gore-Tex® Paclite® shell fabric available. A 15-denier mini ripstop structure with extreme packability. DWR treated surface for great water repellency. Non-friction carbon-coated interior for durability.
    Water and windproof with excellent breathability.
    Face material: 100% Polyamide
    Membrane: ePTFE
    Performance: Hydrostatic head - 28,000 mm
    Moisture Permeability, RET <4
    Weight: 77 g/m²

    I always explain "Performance Shell" as "Gore-Tex Classic" (ie: 30 year old tech)
