The Story Global Premiere

Hey there TGR I wanted to let you guys know about the global premiere of The Story happening October 24 in sunny Los Angeles, CA. They really pulled out all the stops and managed to enlist the Mann's Chinese Theater for the premiere's location. Thats where they do the giant Hollywood movie premieres so I'm real excited about it. Just more proof skiing is on its way to the top of the action sports community.

Local shops and ski businesses will be in attendance and its sure to be one of the biggest ski related events in LA this preseason. Especially with Ski Dazzle coming late this season, The Story premiere will be a great opportunity to wet your appetite for shred before the season starts and get your friends and family excited for the upcoming winter.

The film itself is comprised of some really incredible action footage and exclusive interviews with such mountain stars as Lindsey Vonn, Bode Miller, and Mike Douglas. It also includes base jumping, paragliding, an Everest expedition, and some other mountain sports. Its really shaping up to be an incredible portrayal of the people that dedicate their lives to the mountains and action sports.

So if you are in Hollywood on October 24, or were looking for an excuse to come hang out at the beach (yeah its still beach weather in October down here), start making plans to come to The Story premiere today.

If you aren't anywhere near LA there is also going to be a national tour at ski shops all over, shoot me a PM if you are interested in local showings. Depending on where you see it they will also be showing either the Bill Johnson Story or a film titled Shane and the McConkeys showcasing Shane's family life which looks like a really amazing tribute to our favorite skier.

It looks like tickets will actually be $25 but will include sponsor goody bags, free entry to an after party, an athlete meet & greet, and a free lift ticket to Mammoth Mt.
