W's boots with Low Volume Heels?

I've tried on a couple pair of boots at my local shop and I always end up with too much space in the heel, even in the stock liner.

Any boot fitting gurus know of a boot that comes in a mondo 23 (aka no men's boots) with lower-volume heels?

Can't go shorter than 23, or raise foot up in the boot very much if at all, b/c this usually already necessitates punching the toebox out.

My wife has a very small foot and has really enjoyed the kids Lange race boots. Since they're designed for kids they're cheap (~$300 new) and come in small sizes (she's a 22.5)

Is it only your heels that are narrow or your whole foot? My wife has a 6 1/2AA/AAA narrow foot and heel and also had to go to a Lange kids Team 100 racing boot and Intuitions.. They worked but were awful to get in and out off and the full size buckles stopped the shell from flexing properly because buckles #2 and 3 hit each other on even moderate flex. Being a huge fan of her old Flexon Comps, shortly after Full Tilt came on the market she got a pair of Bumble Bee Pros in BSL 277 and loves them. She did add an X pad at the heel after a couple of seasons because we were too lazy to remould the Intuitions. My wife is small (105 lbs) but a very powerfull skier so if Bumble Bee Pros are too much boot for you Full Tilt makes lots of softer boots and you can adjust the flex by changing tongues. While they look similiar, Dalbello and FT aren't the same shell so FT might be worth trying on. If I remember correctly there is a comparison somewhere here in Tech Talk.

I got 24 dalbello surge with intuitions last spring which is as small as they go,1 size too big for you BUT they came with a plastic heel pocket reducer thing that clipped into the boot board and its great for reducing heel volume ... do any other Dallbellos come with these ?

I take a 24 and mens boots usually stop at 25, sounds like you will be looking for a kids boot and doing some punching in the toes

editn their site it looks like dalblleo also make some small womens sizes, here's a krypton down to a 22

the trick is finding a shop that will have a boot that small in stock ,I would shop early

This is Mrs. C.'s new boot as of late last year: Lange Banshee women's:

I don't know if it comes in a 23 mondo though. But it has a well-formed, snug heel pocket. It needed some punch work to make it fit, which IMHO was a good sign that Mrs. C. was in a boot that fit properly.

This might be a requirement for the OP no matter what. Very cheap, very easy fix.

    FT boots go to a 265mm (22) and a 277mm (23)

lange makes small/narrow boots (adult and JR race) in 22 or 23. as does nordica, salomon, etc.
