Pic of the cirque yesterday taken while breaking trail into high whiskey while we were waiting for 4 to pop. Got done with this run and skied right onto 4 to hit the saddle goodness. The high t was prolly the best line out eagle gate, as the saddle was fluff but snow out in palisades was kinda heavy.

Welcome. Kirkwood has good deals on snow blades. They are so radical.

Kwood was puking all day today. 88 was closed briefly and all the kids are back in school making lines non-existent. The forecast was for 3-7" new snow so I took my skinny skis (Czars) and was kicking myself all day. Tomorrows going to be nutz. Bring your biggest bestest pow skis. And you will need chains if you don't have 4x.

Rumor also has it that you're sandbagging, since I know for a fact there is video of you hitting it too. Fucking sick, guy.

    edit: this is SSD.

Don't worry about chains. Just hold up four fingers and you'll be ok. Works for me.

He should also have first-hand knowledge about the size of the crater, since he landed in it.

For the system currently moving over the Sierra and western Nevada there is warmer air over the cooler air forming what is called warm air advection. This makes the cooler air more efficient in dropping its moisture so it sheds more moisture than originally projected.

    I chuckled.

Kinda missin' Tahoe right now. CO is great, but that sticky-icky maritime allows for a lot of possibilities.

Welcome friend! You are welcome to borrow my Atomic Rex 8 and I am happy to show you the best groomed trails on the mountain. This resort has high-angle grooming capabilities that always keep conditions great and allow for a truly challenging and exhilarating skiing experience! I am also capable of taking near-professional quality photos of your family; I can digitally edit in beautiful views of Lake Tahoe so you can show all of your friends that you and your family skied at a steep Lake Tahoe ski resort. But you should plan on driving very slowly to the resort, as the roads are full of very dangerous drivers this time of year.

Don't forget, "weight so you can ang-u-late!"

Man, so many good days this week! And to think that we are already in the NEXT storm cycle! Sincure, TheDad, JLA415, good times on Monday for sure. When Scott finally opened on Monday, my first run down was hands down my best inbounds run this season. Chute that Seldom slides in top to bottom over the shoulder blower! My legs were so shot by the end of the day that I compressed on the run out towards subway chair and I tried to stand up and my legs simply could not lift me. It was a funny scene for sure!

I took a bit of video but between the conditions and my computers inability to handle hd video, I am not sure if I will get any up. Sincure, I think I got some chairlift shots of your first run down Scott...and possibly some of the action off that big rock at the top. I have only seen people hit that rock once or twice in my life and on Monday, I saw 5 people hit it on one chairlift ride!!

meh, gimpy's just old and doesn't like to jump off stuff any more. heavenly has longer lines than kirkwood (both lines, and lift lines). Without Killebrew, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to jump off there any more (ok, maybe still some stuff in the sunny side of mott). Both have outstanding sidecountry. Heavenly's gets pounded unbelievably quickly after a storm.
The mountains are different, but i wouldn't say one is better than the other. They just have different personalities (Quite frankly, Heavenly is an asshole IMO).
The main reason I have always preferred Kirkwood is that it is more of an alpine experience where you can actually get above treeline.

that's so strange. i've never ever ever seen that area slide.

glad you got out of it

great way to start the season! day 2 was powder refills today at Sierra. Completely deserted, very fun day. The soft snow was easier on the knees too.

here's a photo from yesterday - i <3 powder - lets you do stupid things...the vid of this jump has some pretty funny commentary - "holy shit!"

It is surprising how quickly the Heave side country gets hit. I guess it is just a good combination of access, fall line and hordes of people. I don't like hordes, so... BTW, if the Heave is an asshole, I'd say KW is just clueless. But when ever KW does get its shit together, the place goes off.

KW is the 20-something hot college chick who's clueless. She either teases or blatantly lies to you. But when she puts out, she puts out big time. You get sick of her bullshit but you keep coming back for more because she's that special kind of chick. She gives good BJs but sometimes there's teeth involved to ruin the moment

Heavenly is the 40-something, fur-coat-wearing cougar who I go to if I know I'm not gonna be getting any from the college chick. She may look tame at first glance, but when you get her behind closed doors she'll show you her wild side, tie you up , discipline you, and give you the best blowjob of your life and make you beg for more.
