Sports Den, Utah for Ski Boots?

Anyone have any experience getting ski boots fitted at the Sports Den in Salt Lake?

    Good? Bad?

they're my go to shop since we get hooked up through the ski team i work for, great for tunes/mounts and stuff. the only bootfitting experience i have is them molding my liners, but for a full fit with grinding punching etc check out the sport loft. pretty legendary in the area.

The Sports Den is horrible for boot fitting. They sold my wife (this was before we were married) a pair of boots two sizes too big. After her fist day of slopping around in them she came back to get a boot that fit. They told her she needed footbeds, ect. So, all in she spent around a grand and still had boots that didn't fit.

Go to Deep Powder House at Alta or Superior at Snowbird, or as was mentioned Sports Loft. Oh, if you know what you are doing, I would also check out Level 9. They have great boots at a good price, but I don't think they really do all the custom fitting stuff.

I guess ectreeskier has good luck with Sports Den, but I think the shop is a joke and wouldn't spend a dime there even though it is within walking distance from my house.
    Thanks Shane

work for bc.com seasonally =...well let's not go down that road. basically i don't buy stuff from sports den. for mounts and shit they know what they're doing, everything's cheap for me since i coach too, but if i needed serious work i would most likely go elsewhere. ID liners and untouched krypton pros seem to work well for me, so i don't need much else done that i can't figure out myself.

sports den sucks, the service I have received there over the years is lousy and unless you look like you have money or a spoiled teenager there are better places to go. If you need a lot of work on boots check out the Sports Loft but if you just need boots for a great price check out Level Nine we don't do boot work but we will make sure you get the right size boot and the right boot for your needs.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Sport loft is pretty well known, but you also must keep in mind that a set of boots and custom work with a footbed can run you close to $2,000 there.

Not knocking them one bit - they know thier stuff. But if you dont have that kind of coin save yourself the stress.

I had some liners baked and some footbeds molded there. I've never done a full fitting with them... walked in knowing what needed to be done with some new boots. They did fine job in my case.
