    NH TODAY

one of those day where you pull up and nearly freak out cuz you can't pull the suit on fast enough cuz it looks so damn perfect out there. been pretty common this fall, but today was extra special. perfectly clean chest high with power and just a few guys out. super clean and lined up corderoy.

tomorrow and the 2/3 following should be about the same.

nice stoke from the other coast!

Funny, I thought the same thing when I looked at that pic. The only thinf that really distinguishes it is that the rocks are lower near the end of the point. I've never seen that spot break like that. Can't ever figure out the swell, and I've camped nearby more than once!

Today was looking good at the beach, but a friend of mine really wanted to go to SC. Ended up getting a few rides at the lane. Noticed cars everywhere on 1, even at spots I didn't know existed. Tomorrow should be on, minus the crowds. Time to rise early!

late day post sunset non-light = not sharp, but still stoke. the past few days were decent.

once out of town, the lineup is less crowded, the wave more warbled and the views $$$$$

of course when swell is on, and the inside section can look like this, the crowds are not too thin

Damn that 2nd photo would be sooooo fun. It has been a month since I was in the water. My timing lately absolutely sucks. To add insult to injury, I had to bail on my Mammoth trip for the weekend due to lack of snow. Please God, some surf please.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I came here to post something similar today but you beat me to it.

Please someone dial up some surf for So Cal or at least a few solid storms so I can get to Mammy.

This is partially my fault fellas, I knew I should have opted for acl surgery this season. I thought I would miss too much surf/snow time, guess that backfired

5.5@17 pure. no wind. and the few guys out at the ledge i was surfing headed in after an hour. i kind of wished i was not solo. some waits and lulls. but solid swell when they came in. i was thinking on the drive home how we just never got days like this in n.e. ever.

good stuff. nothing huge, but a few pucker sets. and wipe outs were brutal.

^^ Sounds like my sunset session just now at local reef. Group of 4 guys split 20 minutes after I got in which was nice. Only 3-4 of us left until dark. Caught a few and got stuck inside once which was not fun when a set rolled through.

    Ready for early session tomorrow.

dude. bummer. heal quick. ice and stuff. at least the next few weeks look grim.

i wish i took some pics today. solid stuff. a bit more crowded. paddle out to eight. finally dropped to three. well overhead and quite hollow. a very good day for my favorite ledge break.

A bummer on the sand bar describes it perfectly. Didn't ice but that works out good because the opposite side is sore today, i would have iced the wrong side yesterday

Sounds like your session was significantly better than mine. I'm bad about pics, not sure how people do it. I rarely take photos and the photos I usually post aren't even the sets. I'm usually too amped to get suited up to sit around and wait for a set to roll in. I'm too hungry post session to sit around and snap shots. Also leaving camera's in my car is hard for me to do due to the break-ins, usually just use my cell phone. I'm trying to get better about and applaud the guys that get the shots and score the surf, best of both worlds.

edit: thank god my wifes a physical therapist, she just called and said there is an opening this afternoon. Looks like I'll skip the acl rehab today and do the back rehab. lmao, I'm a farking walking injury

Just south of there at Calumet park. Hannimonds, Hermo's, Cindy's, Sewerlines are all right there and as a result the crowd will spread out a bit compared to one peak at S. Bird.

Bummer on the back injury. Heal quick.

Yeah. Did not shot much of this past swell, as I used most all of my free time to surf. Friday afternoon, I took a West Cliff stroll with the little bug, and snapped a few shots at a certain spot that has a very tight take off zone and a very competitive crowd. The new swell was just starting to show in the water, and the buoy was 5.5@20. Mind you, this spot faces about 150^ and the swell was from 305^

odd, I'm using safari too. To further diagnose it I also checked on my iphone with the forum app and also on a ipad, all show as question marks. Not sure what's up, maybe it's just me. Agreement about the new photo attachment functionality, that was a downgrade during the recent upgrade

That works. So that's a 305 wrapping into a 150? solid. Those boils are glistening in the sun

Ok, me not gets it. 2 days of rain and weather in SD and today it's flat, I mean barely knee high flat. I didn't follow this last storm closely but a waist high leftover is all I ask.

Only 1 or 2 localized windswells all season long, very odd early season. Normally we'll have a few good ground swells and waist-chest high wind swell from time to time. I pray these next swells materialize, Monday forecast for head high and I'm not holding my breath.
