    TR: Emmons Glacier Route MRNP July 17-18

    My first Rainier summit and my longest vert run (9,000 ft). Some of the shittiest snow ever but the views and grandness more than made up for it. Here's a teaser pic. More to come:

    now the fun part


















    finally back in some decent snow




    the temps never got hot enough up high to soften the snow, but that kept the snow from turning to glop down low on the Interglacier
