Legit was in my opinion pretty legit. Funny as fuck, too bad it was dumped after 2 seasons.

while the show is a worldwide hit for NF, apparently the accents are pissing off South Americans...

L'étrange couleur des larmes de ton corps
(aka The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears)

    this French film is nuts.
incredibly heavy on the visual stimuli.
basically an homage to the giallos of yore (think Dario Argento, for starters), it's a bit light on plot, but heavy on blood, nudity, and extremely tweaked cinematography.
the larger the screen and the better the surround sound you have will make all the difference (I really wish I'd seen it on the big screen during its limited theatrical run last summer).

RIYL: Beyond the Black Rainbow; Only God Forgives; Berberian Sound Studios; anything by Dario Argento circa 1970 - 1987; early Brian DePalma

Lately I've developed a penchant for stumbling upon what I consider to be engaging, entertaining, and well-written series, which ultimately got cancelled (which, in my warped mind goes to furhter prove that Hollywood often has its collective head up their collective ass when it comes to producing good television and film).

That said, the latest binge I've been on is TERRIERS, the short-lived (one 13-episode season) private eye show starrring everybody's favorite MTV cabbie, Donal Logue, along with Michael Raymond-James.

The show has whip-smart dialogue, a larger mystery coursing through the entire series, and some seriously oddball supporting characters.

Oh yeah, it has a pretty sweet theme song, too:

"Man, we killin' elephants in the back yard..."

Really enjoyed the first season. Good balance of fiction/non-fiction peeking into the insane life of Pablo.

"Terriers" was a great show, too bad it was a one-and-done. Another great show on Netflix that only lasted one season was Firefly, great cast, great writing, and one that even people that don't like sci-fy seem to love.

Third vote for Narcos. Really enjoying it. Just amazing how fucked up that country was due to the cocaine boom.

    KUNG FURY is streaming.

I know most folks have already watched the mini-film in all of its gonzo, 30-minute glory since it's on the webz, but I rather fancied viewing it on my 50" television screen as opposed to my 17" computer screen.

would make a great double-bill with the Australian series DANGER 5, btw.

    MAN FROM RENO

If you like quiet mysteries that unfold with intricate precision, then I highly recomment this excellent, slow-burn modern noir that is teeming with subtle red herrings and innocuous mcguffins.

Master of None is pretty good. Reality sitcom.

Just finished Narcos. Yeah that was fun. Curious to see how they package the next installment, considering this series spanned a decade, the next one will have only a few months to last the whole season. Either that or they focus on Cali Cartel after Pablo dies. Being American I didn't give a shit about the accents, dude who played Pablo is a great actor.
