Yo, anyone else watching Fall of the House of Usher? Just finished episode 2, I’ve never seen anything like that ending. It was truly horrific and I totally loved it! Thumbs up.
Star Wars nerds will love Mark Hamill as Arthur Pym, he’s fucking cold as ice.

Truth be told, I am a bit skeptical of this flick given NF’s shitty track record with producing boated and vapid action films (see The Grey Man, 6 Underground, Red Notice, Heart of Stone, and way too many more than I care to list), yet it is David Fincher and it does feature Michael Fassbender and it is based on a highly acclaimed French graphic novel…
It is currently in very limited theatrical run (closest theater to me is 187 miles away) and drops on NF streaming 11/10.
I hear ya, but nearly impossible to imagine Fincher whiffing. Although I guess I’m a little skeptical because it seems w the little i know like territory that he’s already. Def not gonna drop theatre money and wait for the NF drop tho.
PS - I liked red notice. Lol
The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.
Blue Eyed Samurai - check it out.
Good plot line and very good animation.
It starts out really good and then turns on the nitro.
Recommend Beckham…..very good.
Agreed. I basically knew nothing about him, and the majority of my soccer knowledge comes from Ted Lasso. But I found it to be a compelling doc. Seems like a stand up guy.

The Yogi Berra documentary on Netflix is great. What an amazing life

Just saw Nyad. It was pretty good I thought. Pretty standard sports movie plot but was well executed and Annette Benning and Jodie Foster were great.
Cool to see Jimmy Chin doing a feature film.
The question is: would it have been more effective on the Big screen?
I had a hankering to see it in the theater, but it was only on one screen in SF, which is a bit of a trek for me, especially to see a film that was coming to streaming so quickly…
Second question: is it better than either The Gray Man and 6 Underground?

Good question. It's very different, much grittier, far fewer special effects silliness, simpler but more nuanced plot ...... I would say definitely better.
I did enjoy The Grey man and 6 underground simply as time filling froth, however.
The plot was fairly formulaic, very slick atmospheric production/direction, pretty solid performances across the board.
Decent flick, probably wouldn’t watch again.
Maybe this has already been mentioned, but Buried is now on Netflix. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a great doc on the 82 avalanche
