INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER: Essential functions of this position include maintenance of station computer networks (Novell-based LAN), I-NEWS newsroom computer system, IBM AS400, Macintosh graphics (G4 and G5), Microsoft Office software, Lucent phone system, KSTU's website, station security system), associated hardware and software. Duties also include maintaining an established computer back-up system, installing and upgrading computer software and hardware applications, coordinating all necessary maintenance operations and providing research/ recommendations regarding future hardware and software purchases.
Applicants must have a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, business, related field or equivalent; plus three years experience in information systems management. Experience must include handling multiple responsibilities, working with a variety of hardware and software applications (preferably those previously listed), strong troubleshooting skills, organizational skills, the ability to work with a variety of people and departments, ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to adhere to and administer company policies.
