Recommendations for Remote Timer for Canon

Looking for a remote with timer. The Canon TC-80N3 is about $150.

    Any other recommendations?

    Thanks

I just ordered one of these from Amazon for $60: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Control-Shutter-EOS-D2000-compatible/dp/B0018205KE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277243676&sr =8-2"]Amazon.com: Satechi TR-A Timer Remote Control Shutter for Canon EOS-1V/1VHS…[/ame]

I never ever buy knock off brand camera gear, but Canon can suck a dick for charging people $160 for something Nikon builds into their cameras.

Chinese knock-off on Ebay. They're about $25-35. They work fine.

I sucked dick and bought the canon one.

I also bought a 30 dollar one off ebay for a buddy who was jealous of mine (my intervalometer, not my weiner sucking).

He hasn't given it back to me so I assume it works.

I've got a non-intervelometer model from Canon that I'd be willing to unload if you're interested.

I bought the Opteka for $59.99. No frills and easy to use. Weird thing is there is no on/off button but since the only thing draining the batts is the lcd display (much like a digital watch), I don't see it killing them. I have had no problems thus far and have been using it a ton.

And make sure you get the right one... the "pro" bodies have a different input than my t2i has.

I have bid on about 8 of the Canon's on ebay. Get sniped at the last minute on every one.

Bad thing is these morons are bidding up a used one to within $20 or so of what you can buy a new one.

    Grrrrr

Has anyone used a combined WIRELESS REMOTE & intervalometer?

I have been using the Satechi wireless receiver & remote trigger release (WR-A100) and it's worked really well - the receiver works w/out batteries as a shutter release or bulb lock. Then you turn on the wireless receiver and the remote can trigger the camera from 100 feet away - I've taken some cool self portraits with it (see pictures at bottom of post). I also love that the wireless receiver is a USB-recharged lithium battery.

But I've always wanted an intervalometer for timelapse images so that I could stack startrails rather than leaving the shutter open. Plus there is a lot more fun stuff you can do with a timer/intervalometer.

Satechi makes a combined device ... the reviews on Amazon are enticing. Anyone have experience? I might just go for it, but I figured to check with the collective.

Ebay sucks, Amazon rocks. I hate bidding on stuff when you can just go to Amazon and buy the same thing at the same price, and no waiting.

That's the one I bought. If you're interested in something that's super sweet looking, and have some time to wait, check this guy out.

I assume it's the same for Canon as it is for Nikon... I bought a Chinese knockoff for my D90 on ebay for practically nothing and it's never let me down. Not sure why anyone would pay more for one that does the same thing.

Just ordered this for my T2i, was looking at a regular remote release, and this does all that and more, for less money! I got this and a remote control release for 26 bucks shipped.

I'll update with impressions when I get it sometime next week (super saver shipping)
